Hope he's gotten significantly better because I wasn't thrilled with his high school tape or the couple times I saw him live.

Yeah doesn't happen in the transfer portal Era. He could have easily gone to and been the starter at Oregon, Ohio St, or Florida St. They all brought in new transfers to start at the Qb position and all probably start in the top 10.

I would honestly say Mara would run it back with Daboll/Schoen giving them a shot with their guy.

Tough. Fan outrage will be noisy. He's sensitive to that.

If this year goes very poorly, you have to assume Jones will be out. These guys will then be judged closely on what they do next at QB and the leash won't be long.

I'm inclined to think if they were literally picking first in 2026 it would be with all new everybody starting fresh and starting with "their guy."

I think Schoen and Daboll would get two years to make it work with their own QB before moving on, if it came to this, whoever that guy may be, Manning, Sanders, Beck, whoever it is.

It's possible their decisions in this draft have sealed (in the eyes of Mara and Tisch) Daniel Jones as their QB.

And possibly, surely at least for 2024, but their attempts to trade up to get Maye would also indicate they are looking to move on at some point and upgrade the posiiton long term.

Sadly, it did not work out they won too many games (how we constantly win our way out of being in striking distance of prospects is astonishing)

Hopefully Nabers can help Jones get to at least 2022 or rookie year levels until they have a chance to figure it out.

Even when we describe something as meaningless, it really isn't when we do what we can to see that it achieves its true objective.
