One of my favorite Beatles albums as it has everything any music lover could want, from silly Rocky Racoon to Helter Skelter to Back in the USSR (with Eric Clapton).

Some interesting insights into an album that (OMG) is now 55 years old. (where did the time go)

What's the story with "Revolution number 9" being played backwards and having Paul McCartney death rumors in it?

Mind you: I am not in any way suggesting I believe any of this stuff. I'm just curious what the claims were.

Here is the segment of the song played backwards. The claim is that it is saying "turn me on, dead man."

I'm not an expert on this topic, and I don't intend to become one because the whole thing was kind of dumb, but my understanding is that believers in this urban legend point to many clues, including stuff on the Sargeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts band album cover, as well as the Abbey Road "funeral procession" and Paul being barefoot reference you made.

I am in your camp as about as far from an expert as one can get.

In the end, it was all foolishness.
