Good. better than having a flawless game in a meaningless venue that hides weaknesses.

Woody

Not good to see at any point during season bad habits are very a hard to correct

Most starters did well. You know, except for one notable exception...

Woody

Very poor performance on both sides of the ball ... a reflection of what stage they are at as they get ready for season.....not close.   Texans first second and third guys playing well. Much better team that has a winning attitude from top to bottom.
These meaningless games and how you perform is a sign of a good program or a bad one.
This is getting comical ....these guys are not good.  Preseason or not .

I wouldn't mind grabbing the Texan RB Brooks if he hits waivers.

I could care less if the Giant win by 20+ points or lose by 20+; pre season performance does not translate to regular season success (or failure).  Last year, at this exact time, fans were talking about the lethality of the Giants offense, and how the Giants were an ascending team...we know how that turned out.  Yes, the Giants still lack talent, and DJ is what he is; however, I wouldn't let this performance impact your outlook.  Pre season does not matter, one lick.

Woody

Last week it looked like they might have some good depth on team ....this week it did not look that way .Maybe they were just looking at players to cut sooner rather than later.

DJ was bad DJ. No way to sugar coat that.

OL stability may be exaggerated by Texans not playing their
starting edges.

Depth is still an issue but injuries are obviously not helping.
If you live your life as a pessimist you never really live your life at all.

OL looked very good, which is heartening. Gave QBs time and space and opened some nice holes in the running game.

Nabers is the real deal, Hyatt is developing, expected to see more Wan'Dale.
For a guy who's almost become an afterthought, Slayton makes plays.

Let's hope that was rust and Jones isn't as terrible as he looked.....but you gotta be worried at this point.

Run Defense improved. Still not a lot of pressure, though.  Secondary lacks cohesion and a starting caliber CB.

On the 2nd point

It is still a glimmer of hope.... because for idk how long its been... even if it was 3rd stringers they were getting pressure on the Giants
