I was talking up Jones new moxy and new beard to my friends as he was throwing picks.

I thought it was a mistake filled game by the Giants. There was some good and bad by Jones. I thought Hyatt needed to be better on that second interception. Go get the ball.

Why is no one talking about the Defense? Receivers for Houston were running free all day. Then when the Texans dialed it down the Giants couldn't stop the run. Not good.

I wouldn't make too much about the picks. Some of the best QBs have been known to throw more than their share of picks. One of the things talked about earlier this year, was the skittishness of Jones worrying more about getting picked, than moving the ball...forcing him to be too conservative. Daboll pointed it out that he'd rather see picks where the QB is trying to move the ball downfield, then for the QB to hold on to the ball too long and search for a quick dump off throw. It might work for short gains, but it's not how football games are won. If Tom Brady threw a couple of picks in preseason, no one would say a word...they'd just call him rusty or whatever. Daboll wants DJ to get aggressive and not so conservative/aprehensive. It's all about changing the mindset of the QB so that he's not timid to take a shot downfield, instead of looking for easier short throws as an out. It's a process

I'd rather him let loose and make mistakes now. I like the aggressiveness.

I will never stop rooting, supporting, and hoping, Still, on balance, I see nothing to suggest that it's about to become any easier to do so.

The problem was these were meantal picks
Now throws that the corner back made a great play
Or picks where QBs like arron Rodgers use to throw where he would try out new throws or new plays
These were
Mental picks that shouldn't happen to a 6 year QB
If he was a rookie
We can say
He would learn from this
But some people can never learn
I hope I am wrong

They were actually looking to win this game. Against a Playoff team, the barometer doesn't lie. Five turnovers. On top of that both QB's didn't do enough and DJ still had that stunad in him that will never completely go away. Lots of breakdowns in the secondary as they negotiate around a new system with young players.

With this team, it's best to apply the Robert Ringer motto. Positive attitude through a negative assumption. For the purpose of sanity.

How worried should we be?

He locked on recievers also. Let's not overlook that

The interceptions were against vanilla man-to-man; you're not going to look of a DB in that defense.  He made the right read, just good awful throws.  The throw to Hyatt was particularly egregious...it should have been a TD.

Agreed. Just frustrated he locked on. He does it so much now I find myself watching each throw like a hawk

I think in MTM, if the CB sees the QB staring down that WR the CB may bear down more on the man he's covering.
