That's nice. But now how much will they pay Trent William who, as much as anyone else on the team, has been a key to the Niners success?

Cheers!

The 49ers will enter the 2024 NFL season with eight players earning an average annual salary of $15 million or more:

🏈Brandon Aiyuk: $30M
🏈Nick Bosa: $34M
🏈Deebo Samuel: $23.85M
🏈Trent Williams: $23.01M
🏈Javon Hargrave: $21M
🏈Fred Warner: $19.045M
🏈Christian McCaffrey: $19M
🏈George Kittle: $15M

And that's with the biggest contract of them all—Brock Purdy—looming in a year.

It's my understanding that Williams is holding out and said he won't play unless the 9ers make him the highest paid O lineman in the league. Right now he's 6th.

That offense would not be the same without Williams.

Trent Williams is the sasquatch of lineman. He's almost impossible to work against, wins all the time and is invaluable to the Niners. Without him, there will be a significant drop-off.

Btw, the Niners are in must win mode with their huge price tags. Purdy's payday is coming and they got guys in their prime, not getting any younger. And they better watch their backs-the Rams are real contenders for that division.

Rich: The key to all that can be summed up in two words... Brock Purdy.

By comparison to others similarly situated, he's essentially playing for free.

Still waiting for the Giants to hit JUST ONE TRUE draft jackpot this century.

If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

Doesn't Williams have like 3 years left on it?

Yes.

He is still nonetheless refusing to show up unless/until he is made the highest paid O lineman. Or he wants to be traded to a team interested in paying him as such.
