The bookies, those unyielding pessimists, have the Vikings at a money line of -120. That translates to a 55/45% W/L in the Vikings favor. At home, mind you! With a delightful new mid-field logo, even. I ask you. The nerve!

Game time's 1PM EDT. This poor old country mouse will have a cold dark ale handy, along with some decent snacks. Lady Luck can probably be found near the 50 yard line, surrounded by a sea of blue. Who knows? Mr. Daniel Jones may finally be removed from the "We're Still Evaluating" column to the "Starting Franchise QB" column. That may well depend upon whether the Giant offensive squad front 5 can form and maintain a pocket. We know Singletary will do his best. There may even be a real rabbit among the new acquisitions.

Sunday the 9th. In person or electronically, be there.

Go, Big Blue!

The Giants could be 30 point underdogs in this game, and it would not bother me in the slightest. All that I care about is what happens between the opening kick and the game clock reaching zero.

Hi, DaveBrown74.

There are many ways of looking at a football game. One, of course, is the interest taken by the punters. They fuel quite an industry these days. Another is to map the game onto real life situations. A third is to see it as a simple win/lose contest. That's what makes sports such a fascinating thing for so many.

Regards, enjoy the up-coming season.

Go, Green Gang!
