I couldn't help but feel the 49ers have been a bit snake-bit this season.   They had the two high-profile acrimonious hold-outs.  Their first-round draft pick gets shot.  They also seem to have more injuries than is normal for them.

It begs watching, doesn't it? It will be interesting to see how their fortunes play out in the first month of the season. As long as they stay in the hunt to make a run by November, they'll still be tough to beat.
