THAT aspect of his game has never changed and cannot be blamed on anyone else.

As for accuracy, I saw worse yesterday from QB's widely believed be superior to Jones, especially if the player in question was (also) coming off an injury from last season.  Among comments related to this issue were those made by Tom Brady about Deshaun Watson (something like "it's rust, and it will take him a while coming off a serious injury to get back into the rhythm and tempo of an NFL game...").

Bob

Watson was playing against the NFLs best defense, with multiple AP players...Jones was playing a bottom 5 defense.  Moreover, it's not just one game; DJ has been terrible in his last 8 games.

Come on Bob-
He can not hit an open receiver, can not hit a screen pass, can not lead a receiver, can not throw a pass that even may get caught if there is any type of pressure at all period.

Other players have bad games, ever game for jones is bad or barely average.

Since his extension Jones has thrown more TD's as Pick 6's (3) than he has thrown TD's (2) for the Giants.

king: IMO give Minny more credit. Yes, they recently HAD a bottom five D. Judging by yesterday's performance, their serious off-season moves seem to have panned out very well (so far). The defense was complicated, well-taught, and well-executed by the players... they deserved to win (just based on the defense's work). Bob
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

Yea this isn't the same Minny Defense Jones beat up on in 22. Brought in Flores, ton of talent in the secondary, Lost Hunter but replaced him with Greenard. Drafted Dallas Turner. They were much improved last year under Flores and they seemed well coordinated yesterday.

Yesterday was my breaking point on Jones as well. Not that a year 6 breakout is common but it has happened a couple times. I really thought this year would be an improvement. True #1, three receiving scat backs, Theo, all new oline, new oline coach, Hyatt and Slayton over the top. Like all the ingredients are there for an explosive offense. It's Jones. He just doesn't have the processing speed. If his first read isn't wide open he derps into a sack or makes an off balance throw to a checkdown or runs into his own lineman.

I did, my bad, still getting my first sip of coffee

Jones's problem is his mind. It cripples him under duress, real or imaginary .  It was true before the ACL and after.

Ex. and in no way is this the only one. 3rd period, 2nd and 20 with a 6 man front at the line of scrimmage, he saw a5 tech on Thomas and another outside rusher for argument sake we will call a 9 tech outside of Thomas.

Jones in Shotgun with double twins  looks right at the overflow pressure, takes the snap, the two outside receivers both break their routes. Jones stares down Nabers who is on the side the pressure is coming from and is forced to pump because the rusher is in the passing lane.  That sack is 100% on him.  that is an easy read. As simple as they come.

No feel for the game. No instinct.  Just sloppy rookie level football . Jones screwed that play up before the snap was made and that had nothing to do with his ACL.

You can't teach instinct. That flaw was obvious from year one.
