"They shouldn't of had any points," Vikings defensive end Jonathan Greenard said on KFAN's Power Trip Morning Show. "I feel like we definitely should've shut those guys out."

Greenard said the "whole world" knew "what play as coming" when linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel jumped Jones on a quick pass and snagged the ball out of midair and cruised into the end zone for a defensive touchdown.

How did it feel to know the Vikings were making life miserable for Jones?

"I've been in Houston the past four years where I've been apart of that. I've been apart of those boos when you're walking on the field and your offense doesn't make anything happen, you would think it's an away game at this point," said Greenard, who signed with Minnesota during the offseason. "But at that time, how we were attacking him and understanding where he's at in his career based on obviously the scheme that he has, whatever contract things are going on, we understand he's dealing with a lot and if we can add another aspect of pressure onto the guy to make him speed up his reads a little bit more, make sure he's not going to get confident and comfortable back in the pocket, man, it was a great feeling to see it on the first couple of drives."

But as the boos kept coming and grew louder, it got a little bit uncomfortable.

"When we heard the boos raining in, we're like 'OK, now we're good on our side.' But when it got really loud to where it was as loud as it would be on a third down should be when they're on defense, it was kind of bad," Greenard said. "We kind of started to feel a little bit bad for him as we're still just completely taking away everything he wants to do. It's good to be on the other side of it."

I find the fact they knew what we were running unbelievable.   After all we have the QB genius calling the plays.  And he had a whole off season to formulate a game plan worthy of his title. Surely this can not be true.

I really wondered about the pick 6.  It seemed like it was a play that was set up to fail.  Now we know the defense knew it was coming, which does not speak well of Daboll, as you said.

I know you're not a Daboll fan. Exactly what genius plays do you expect him to call with Jones as QB?

It's easy for them to talk now after beating the holy hell out of the Giants but I promise you guys were open consistently during that game.  And the OL gave him plenty of time to throw.  If there was even average QB play on that day the Giants win and the Vikings defense would go reallllly quiet.

You know, we fans get blasted for saying things on this site because we don't have the experience that these professionals and media types have. But we see what we see. It doesn't take someone to have actual experience in an area to be able to analyze and discern certain things about a given situation.

This week alone it has been discussed here about the detriment of having a limited and predictable game plan. Yes, part of it is on the coaching staff. The other part, more importantly, is on the players to execute the plan regardless of the level of ease or difficulty.

If they can't execute the simple stuff, what good does it do to try and teach more complicated things? And it starts with the QB. Other teams know this!!!

We know you are not a Jones fan.  How was that play supposed to work if the defense knew it was coming and they could jump the route (which was a quick throw)?

Daboll didn't throw the pass. Jones did.

I don't know what's worse - the Cowboys laughing at the giants last year or the Vikings pitying them.

There was plenty of bad things that could have been blamed on Jones in that game (starting with his accuracy).  I just know Xs and Os, and that play doesn't work if the defense knows it's coming.  This was a particularly bad choice of plays facing the Vikings, who love to routinely line 8 up at the LOS, so the QB isn't even tipped off to their intention of jumping the route since they routinely back off the LOS at the snap.

You didn't answer my question about how you know I'm not a Jones fan.

If the QB sees a defender jumping the route or sitting in the way, he should adjust in some way. The interception is on Jones 100%.

Daboll deserves blame for some things. This ain't one of them.

Football as we know BBH brethren is quite the emotional/confidence/momentum type sport.

When a coach takes accountability, sometimes what he is saying either directly or indirectly is that he will do right by you the player. Essentially it's a dropping of what he envisions and then more of an adopting of what the players truly want to do. When the players are empowered by the faith of their coach in doing what they want on the field more often it often is a HUGE confidence boost.

Again I could be absolutely reading into the situation wrongly but this just might be the case here. Both Coughlin and Fassel had moments like this that led to big turnarounds for their respective squads.

Maybe the defense knew it was coming because the QB hasn't been taught (or if he has then he hasn't practiced) looking off the defense!!
