I saw improvement

Minnesota beat the Niners who looked invincible last week. The Saints beat the crap out of Dallas.

Both Jones and Daniels improved their game. Second week in a row that the Oline protected well.

I question  :what: no targets to Hyatt and Simmons in the dog house again.

Dru is going to be an elite Slot guy.

Losing your kicker early was a killer and it dictated the Giants game.

I'm not impressed with Daboll's Offense so far. But I get him with the walker on Jones. Maybe there will be incremental improvement. Normally starting 0-2 is a killer but I'm still engaged.

I expected improvement and a win. Got one not the other. They were playing an equally bad team that has less talent than the Giants. They lost their kicker and had no replacement. That took away points. While Washington's numerous penalties in the red zone cost them potential points. Good news, if Washington ends up with a worse record, they won't be looking for a QB. The rookie has much to learn but is already on a par with the Giants QB.

And wash made TB look like the 90s 49ers. We witnessed two bad teams that aren't ready to compete for the playoffs...nothing more.

Also, football is not linear; last week the Cowboys looked unbeatable, this week not so much.  Does this mean they're on a downward trajectory?

Remember it takes at least two games for a new Defense to settle in.

It's not a bad matchup for the Giants. Cleveland has very little offensive firepower so that helps the Giants weak defense. The question is can the Giants offensive line, which played very well today, hold off that rough Cleveland defense.

0-2 teams have about a 9 percent chance of making the playoffs.

Unfortunately, it's just another loss but to a bad rebuilding team.  The Giants just severely lack talent and have an inept head coach.  Good to see what Nabers can do but they're terribly lacking in most other areas.

I actually think it's 6%, while 1-1 teams have a 46% chance of making the playoffs.  Could be wrong on the former, but that's what I recall reading.

I'm certainly still engaged, but most thought we needed to go 2-0 to have a realistic chance of the playoffs. I never went that far myself, but to not win either one of these games isn't great. This could get to 1-5 in a hurry.

Idk if im numb to the team now... nut normally I'm pissed for days after a game like this ...but I'm already moving on with my day and focusing on other things ...but this does suck

I saw improvements as well.. but no kicker was a problem

The defense is inexcusable to me ... the few times he blitzed Pinock looked good and even Mcfadden at times .... he needs to stop being  a scared coward and bring the extra heat more

I know. Remember Slags 0-2. It's not a death sentence. Not yet. 0-3, ok

I'm nowhere as emotional as some who post on the game thread, but I must admit I am less optimistic as you are at the moment.

Going 0-2 to start this season was an absolute no-no. Even handicapped by the kicking game, they still could have pulled the game out by not turning the ball over on offense (i.e. Singletary's Fumble and Nabers' drop on fourth down).

The schedule gets more difficult, the injury list will start to grow even though nearly everyone, except Gano, finished the game.

They have done reasonably well on the three strategic imperatives I've listed as key factors for their chance for success. The O-Line is doing a little better. The injury list, so far, has been on par, or slightly better, than last season. But today's loss sets them back in closing the gap between them and their key division rivals. One saving grace is that Dallas got horse-whipped but good by New Orleans and the Iggles play tomorrow.

They will greatly regret the missed opportunity to bank a victory today and it might serve as one of the first dominos in the downfall of the head coach. This is something to keep as a watch item going forward.

Peace!
