Amazing it's already week four in college. I feel like I was just at the beach a little while ago.

A little bit of a better slate this week than last week. Here are the games I'm most intrigued by fwiw:

USC -4.5 at MICHIGAN: Wolverines making a change at QB. The public seems to be leaning on the Trojans in this game. I actually think Michigan could pull the upset here. The new QB is a major threat with his legs. Should be a fun one and the Big House will be rocking.

Utah +1 at OKLAHOMA ST: Really intriguing game here. I think the Utes are likely the better team, but Stillwater is a brutally tough place to play, and it's not like OK St is a slouch. Should be a lively atmosphere, and the winner of this game will look like a rock solid playoff team coming out of this.

Tennessee -6.5 at OKLAHOMA: Maybe the marquee game of the week. It's either this is or the SC/Mich game. Tennessee has looked awesome but can they get it done in a hostile environment against a quality opponent? If they do, the're an absolute, no question about it, top 5 team, at least for the time being.

TEXAS -44.5 against Louisiana-Monroe: No, this isn't any sort of compelling matchup. But it's Arch Manning's first start, and it's a home game under the lights in Austin. Should be a fun environment and another chance to get live eyes on this kid. First start ever for him in college.

Other notes:

Tough loss for the Cuse last night. Losing at home to Stanford isn't great. Although it was close, this likely ends any sort of vague hopes any Cuse fan might have had for a playoff bid this season.

ND needs to run the table to make the playoffs (IMO). Seemingly easy one this week against Miami-Ohio. They have a bit of a QB controversy in ND right now, so it will be interesting to see if the Angeli kid from NJ plays more. Riley Leonard looks like Josh Allen when he runs the ball, but he looks more like Dave Brown throwing it.

The division in talent between the elite and normal teams is wild. Basically blowouts the first 4 weeks.

I'm looking forward to watching Tennessee against Oklahoma tonight. Tennessee has a banged up offensive line but I am interested in watching Nico Iamaleava (QB). The Tennessee alums here at work love him. I think Oklahoma has too much for the Vols tonight. We'll see.

Watch James Pearce the DE for the Vols, he'll be a top 5 pick this offseason.

Huge win by Michigan.

ND got it done today, but this year's team is underwhelming so far.

This is a much better quarterback class than people wanted to give it. At this point it's deeper than last years class. There could be five guys with a first round grade and that's not even counting Miller Moss at USC and Garret Nussmier at LSU. As one year starters they're behind the learning curve but both are putting together monster senior years.

Miami's defense is hot garbage but Cam Ward would look really nice throwing to Nabors.

Ward received a 76-125 Draft ranking which put him in the late 2nd, early 3rd Round territory. He withdrew from the Draft hoping to improve his Draft stock.

Arch Manning had a nothing special 15-29, 258 Yds, 2 TD, 2 INT game as Texas totally dominated Louisiana Monroe 51-3 and covered the Over by 0.5 pts.

Cheers!

JMU (who) lays a 70 spot on North Carolina and Mack Brown.

Yeah, and? That ranking was from last year and so far it looks way off. What was Jayden Daniels ranking after his junior year? I bet it wasn't even in the same area code as second overall.

Heisman Trophy odds list

Here are the odds from BetMGM, as of Friday night:
Cam Ward   Miami   +450
Jaxson Dart   Ole Miss   +700
Jalen Milroe   Alabama   +700
Nico Iamaleava   Tennessee   +800
Dillon Gabriel   Oregon   +900
Carson Beck   Georgia   +1100
Arch Manning   Texas   +1600
Will Howard   Ohio State   +2000
Miller Moss   USC   +2000
Ashton Jeanty   Boise State   +2000

Travis Hunter (WR-Colorado), and Kaleb Johnson (RB-Iowa) rising.
Arch Manning, Miller Moss, and Ashton Jeanty falling.

Nick Nash (WR-SJSU) won't get talked about, but he might break every single season record for WRs if he keeps this up. He is a converted QB with 50 catches and 600+ yards after 4 games when every team knows they have to stop him first. I know it is lesser competition, but the numbers may make history.

Philosophers

I see QBs putting up numbers but I don't see yet really special intangible qualities that I think are necessary to be successful in the NFL.  Something like a come from behind win while taking 5-6 sacks and getting key 4th quarter third down conversions against a good D.

It's because there hasn't really been any good games yet. Starts next week really with Georgia vs Alabama, Ole Miss enters SEC play as well etc.
