Cor'Dale Flott has been in the doghouse by fans, and Dru Phillips has become a fan favorite. But little is being said this week about those two, even though it's pretty big news IMO. Of course, with the hoopla over Nabers, Dex, Baby Bison, et al., it's easy to miss

The story: Flott led the team in tackles with nine, and tied for the lead it TFLs  =D>
Dru Phillips had a single tackle

I watched the game, but never really paid attention to those two so I'm not sure what to take away from it all. I don't know if Dru was hurt or was given little field time, or if Flott's ballsack grew to twice its size. Regardless, fans have been hard on Flott, but maybe...just maybe...we have our CB2  :-??

I believe that Adoree'and Hawkins were unavailable over questionable health/injuries (actually, Phillips was also "questionable"), but that shouldn't dismiss the job that Flott did yesterday
The fact that Keith Richards has outlived Richard Simmons, sure makes me question this whole, "healthy eating and exercise" thing

Dru was injured early and sat out most of the game.

Tackles for a CB can be a deceiving metric to measure success. Sometimes it's a positive and denotes a strong performance. And other times it's a negative, as it can mean they were targeted often and forced to make a tackle after their man made a catch.

TBH, I don't recall Flott's play at all yesterday except for one play where there was a miscommunication. If his play was strong, I'll be glad to hear it.

But one good game after 3 years of subpar play is not all of a sudden going to make me confident. Especially with how inconsistent Banks has been.

Dru is the one I want to get healthy, as his play and confidence have been much needed.

Ric, taking nothing away from Flott's performance yesterday, Dru had 7 snaps after leaving with an injury.
"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

And to complete the story, Flott had 64 snaps.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

Not slowing my roll

We have run out of decent (and uninjured) DB's. Cowboys are not the team to face with a DB shortage. Bob
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!
