At what point either during the game or in post game pressers will we see Daniel Jones (our QB) stand up, maybe get mad or be passionate - and just own this team as his?..own it.

Maybe he will play with more urgency or emotion I dunno. But he looks like business as usual all the time.

Trench

Sadly he is what he is as others have stated. I'll keep pushing and rooting but the man cannot score touchdowns with consistency and at 1st and goal he always ALWAYS throws it short of the goal line. I don't understand I really don't. Wish I were wrong about him. I sincerely do.

Blame
The play caller. Plays are designed for that.

We had a roll out in first down, a meaningless run on second and a WR screen on 3rd.

Sometimes people have to start
Blaming Daboll. He is awful

The playcaller doesn't overthrow receivers (QB), or drop critical passes (WRs and co)

We make those few plays, we probably win.

Maybe I am wrong and Dabool took some QB snaps and threw those awful overthrows, but I didn't catch that

yes, yes, and yes. It was a little better yesterday, honestly the smoothest i've seen our offense operate in some time. but yes, the play calling at critical moments is awful. and the drops.

Philosophers

Andy Reid's playcalling involves bold calls and perfect timing for misdirection plays playing to the strengths of his team.

The Giants OL is a work in progress.  Calling a Nabers reverse made no sense to call.

Daboll's offense is awful.

DJ's constant dump offs to be ahort of first downs is awful.  The WRs not getting to the sticks is awful.  We are mired in mediocrity.

Jones sucks at his job, and gets paid $40 million to do it. Think about that.

Out of 4 games we have not scored TDs in 2 of them. If I read this correctly, yesterday, Jones never even threw the ball into the end zone, even when we were near the goal line. Daboll called a couple of nice 4th down plays that succeeded, but once we get into any sort of scoring area, he fails to get aggressive and just settles for 3. In this game, where we really had a chance to beat Dallas, Daboll failed miserably when he had the chance to score TDs.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

i wish i could find this post from facebook i saw... but if you look around the league at some of the highest paid guys... jones is a bargain.

Joe burrow looks to have regressed and as of now.. jones has a better record this season. 55 million for no wins

Trevor lawrence- 55 million. I dont see him as any better than jones right now.

Jordan love- 55 million. looks good... but injured and doesnt have a long track record

tua- 53 million. career is probably over due to injury. most likely out for season at best.

Goff- 53 million. solid qb with a good coach. do you feel hes worth 53 million though?

Herbert - 52 million. hasnt lived up to the hype as far as im concerned. better than jones but where are the results?

lamar- 52 million. probably best case scenario on this list. losing record this year though

Hurts- 51 million. probably take him over dj but go check out an eagles forum. they HATE this guy. it sounds exactly like the way jones is talked about here.. just for 11 million a year more. on an ELITE team.

kyler- 46 million - meh. good not great, has not really done anything to cement himself as more than a slightly above average qb.

deshaun watson - 46 million and multiple picks given up. see last sunday. he SUCKS

Mahomes -45 million .. this dude is in line for a serious raise.

cousins - 45 million. better than jones but also cant make any noise outside of regular season. getting older.

josh allen - 43 million. probably a bit underpaid at this point .. one of the better qbs in the league although maybe slightly overrated and cant win in post season.

i believe i also saw somewhere russell wilson is making 53 million this year..to be on the bench.

and that brings us to jones. im not saying he deserves 40 million or the answer..but some of these players and their contracts are just as bad if not worse.

Plenty of MTA guys absolutely suck at their job... but they get paid the going rate.

No matter who we choose to blame- remember, it's already been a 3 HC/OC decade of failure- or otherwise to take comfort in perceived improvements in the team's play past few games, there will be just one issue that will matter at seasons end. And we all know what that is.

The overarching question to be answered is whether Daniel Jones will continue to be the Giants Quarterback next season and, if not, who will be his intended successor and how will he be acquired?

While our opinions don't matter or serve as answers, we are quite free to guess.

Cheers!

Best case scenario is if a QB on a real good team goes down, we trade Jones for a draft pick.

We have circled the wagons with this guy, he's been payed well, has been given time and weapons and a good oline and it's still never his fault. It's time to pull the plug.

That's extremely unlikely to happen as any team that trades for him would be culpable for his immense 2025 salary.

You don't see any inconsistencies in the notion that some "good team" would think enough of Daniel Jones to send the Giants a Draft pick while relieving them of his remaining cost? If not, perhaps it's because they don't know as you do, that no matter what "it's still never his fault" Hmm?

Cheers!

y_so_blu

I don't need him to have a fiery personality. Eli didn't, after all. I just need him to will the team to victory. He hasn't done much of that since 2022, unfortunately. I think we saw the best that he can offer and it's all downhill from here.

I get your point. I just think if there is a team ready to win now and their QB is hurt that maybe jones is an upgrade from their current backup is all
