From what I've seen Hyatt is running one route and when the ball arrives he doesn't go after it. He wants it spoon fed to him. He is too passive and every attempt to him has been an interception waiting to happen, going back to preseason. Every time he is on the field he earns his trip back to the bench.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant - Robert McCloskey (if he were on this Forum)

I have seen the direct opposite and I honestly don't think he has had much of an opportunity for any of us to effectively analyze either

Not to debate the credibility of the link I posted,  but it shows 4 plays the layman can see just easily left points off the board. It's just not good enough to win.   In my view, not good enough to even be average qb play

And to ensure we're just about not bad enough to pick first overall and therefore remain in QB hell.

You don't need to pick first overall. Look at the Commanders, Chiefs and Bills. Picks 2-10.

Looking at the failure rates of #1 picks maybe it is better NOT to have the #1 picks.  One thing seems likely, if they select a QB in '25 or '26, they should be able to provide him with a better development environment than DJ ever had. Especially if they can continue to improve the OL.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.
