SMART, TOUGH, DEPENDABLE

Ed Vette

He's been a solid player when he's healthy. He's been better in Coverage too, which keeps him on the field more over Simmons.

Our inside LB play is good.

B1GBLUE

Wow. thats certainly good news. he has always been around the ball but if i remember right, he had tackling issues that would bring his grade down. seems he's cleaned that up and could be a very good player for us.

What is perplexing is that the run defense still gives up the same 4.7 yards per carry it did last year.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

Not slowing my roll

Ed: He has been one of my favorites since his days in college, because he is very football-savvy.

He doesn't have the physical skills of even an average NFL linebacker, but two things allow him to compete:

(1) knows the game; and (2) does his job even if it requires him to press beyond his physical limitations (which, IMO, explains the excessive injuries and shows that he's a true team guy).

If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

Rich: It's the second defensive tackle position.

None of the other inside men are good enough to take maximum advantage of playing next to Dexter.

They're playing hard but each has limits that show up... none beats his opponent often enough.

If you are right Bob and I think you are, the Giants need to draft Mason Graham.  Best 3 tech DT in college and a beast.  Former wrestler.  Fast, strong and relentless.

Not really a surprise. You could see his now fulfilling potential last season.

Cheers!
