Quote from: todge on September 30, 2024, 05:56:48 PMSanders has a lot of talent; but his mental makeup is concerning. Several weeks ago he walked off the field with 9 minutes remaining. There have also been other incidents. His immaturity and questionable attitude may result in many teams wondering if they want him to be their Face of the Franchise

With all his sacks last season he never once called out his OL.  I think that's a good offset.

He called them out this season if I remember correctly.

Quote from: Philosophers on September 30, 2024, 04:25:07 PMI believe strongly Milroe will be a top 15 draft pick.  He'll rise steadily.
Was hoping to grab Hunter or an elite CB early in the top 5 and then hope milroe sneaks to the top of the 2nd like Lamar Jackson or trade a 4th to come back in the late 1st and grab him.

He did but I think it was more motivational than anything.  I maybhe wrong.

At this point, I like Milroe over Sanders as I usually do not trust 2nd generation athletes.  His throwing intangible jump out at me.  Not a fan of his dad.

It's still early and all we can do is speculate, but I have to believe if the draft were held tomorrow Milroe would go in the top 15 or possibly top 10. He has looked awesome, including (now) against elite competition.

He's still a work in progress throwing ala Josh Allen coming out.

Josh Allen was not accurate in college.  Milroe is very accurate.  Not sure I see that comparison.  I think a better comparison is Jalen Hurts.

Milroe is the college QB I'm currently the most interested in, not from the standpoint of saying he's the best (to be clear I think Shedeur is), but I really wasn't that impressed with Milroe before this season, and all of a sudden the last few weeks I have really liked what I have seen. I'm keen to watch more games with him. He has some tough ones coming up on the schedule soon (Tenn and Mizou).

The guy tore up UGA. We can say UGA isn't as good as UGA teams of recent years but they were still the number two team in the country and I'm sure there are plenty of guys on that defense will who be picked in the draft. It was one hell of a performance.

Jeff - One thing I will add is that Michigan dominated Alabama in both trenches in the championship game last year and he was under constant pressure and Milroe still managed to keep them in the game.  That game really made me like him a lot for how he held up and performed.

Great point Joe.

I remember that game of course, and you're right, all things considered he did a very solid job. Contrast that to the miserable performance Michael Penix had against that Michigan D in the championship game.

I've never been a big follower of college, but I really appreciate all the post here (Knick's thread too) to keep me updated.  Sadly, I'm thinking forward to next years QBs in the draft like many of us. These threads really color in the background on the prospects. Well done guys!
