You mean do both? Wow. He hasn't been on the big stage in a long time; that being coaching one of the NY teams.

I just don't see how he could hold up for the relentless grind.

Being 17 or so years younger than him, and in a very busy professional role, I know I couldn't handle it nor would want to.

I just don't see it as an feasible, not to mention reasonable option.

He was doing it right up through last year in New England. I think it is his expectation if he's going to take another job. I don't see him signing up somewhere to be just the coach and not the key decision maker on personnel. I think he's way more likely to not work for an NFL team again than he is to sign up to be just a coach and nothing more.

 It depends on how much he wants back in

If he is frustrated and yearns to walk the sidelines (coaching) he may not insist on being both the GM and HC. He is also getting up there in years and may not want the wear and tear that doing both jobs needs. I can see him working with a GM he sort of approves of, and telling him, 'Just get me what I need to win'.

I know some don't want to get back to this nepotism but I, also, would love to see what maybe the GOAT can do with the mess we now have.

Full control?....No....but if a GM has enough inside to go against him then that's a good mix

Would not want him to be GM and coach ....i think he learned a lesson that regard and  is focused only on coaching

I'm not sure I agree. The guy has been completely in charge for the last 20 years plus. I really don't see a situation where he comes in as just a coach with no real authority on player selection. I think he'd be inclined to just stay retired if that stipulation is there with all of his offers.

I think he lands in Dallas personally. I think Jones is the type of owner who will take a shot and give him whatever roll he wants.

I also think Belichick would only want to go to a reasonably good team. With Brady leaving and winning another Super Bowl, I can't see Belichick going to a bad team where he is highly unlikely to have a shot at a Super Bowl. Just because he knows and likes Mara doesn't mean he's going to come to our team. Especially if the team shares fans' views that they only want him to coach and not build the roster. Someone else will offer him the dual role.

If the Giants draft a QB, I dont want Dabs coaching him.  Move on.

Let me say, IF it turns out the Giants need a coach and Dallas decides to pick Bill - if Bellichick takes them to the playoffs or worse he wins a championship (and Mara decided to not pull the trigger on him)....you will see a massive MASSIVE unhappy fan base!

Let Bellichick coach but just dont  give him the empty shopping cart.

I don't think he'll accept that offer if others are offering him keys to the whole castle. Counting on the fact that he and Mara have a relationship to take precedence over major differences in the roles he's being offered is a shaky assumption to make IMHO. I don't see it.
