McKinney has an interception in each of the Packers 1st 5 games.  Its the first time since the merger that a player on new team has accomplished that.

To be clear this post is not to imply that the Giants should have signed him for that kind of money.  Packers have a pretty solid regime right now and they definitely had a role for him in mind when he was signed.  Wish he was in the AFC.

McKinney had 9 INTs in his four years with the Giants.  5 in the first five games is a bit unexpected

I think what was more impressive was that there were more Cheeseheads at the game in LA than their own fans. That place lit up every time the Pack scored or made a big play.

But yes, X was pretty good too.

Peace!

Good for him. Glad he's elevating his game.

It will be interesting to see whether the best QB's and coaches implement certain strategies (especially in the playoffs, if applicable) which are designed to take advantage of overly-aggressive safeties.

He was one of my favorites in college (and, obviously, while he was on the Giants).

I still can't decide whose "fault" it was that we didn't get more out of him.

If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

Some was his poor decision on vacation, but I think a bigger part was was regime change.

I hope the Giants get to play him this year.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

sometimes a change of scenery/scheme can do wonders for a guy. he was good here but never great.

It's rich to see some of you guys pat the back of McKinney for his fast start with his new team while killing him on this board the past 2 years and counting down the days till he was gone, calling for his C to be ripped off jersey (yes someone posted that), calling him overrated and soon to be overpaid. Ditto for 2023 Pro Bowler Julien Love. Pinnock is a nice safety but we could use either of those guys on our D right now.

TD: My memory may be failing, but I seem to remember that the chief complaints against McKinney were due to essentially non-football stuff.  I remember an occasional missed tackle and other minor deficiencies but the guy IMO was never a bad player for us.  Bob

Which is so misguided. He took a trip during his bye week and unwisely took an excursion, one many of us would take on a vacation, that injured his hand and he became persona non grata. But he came back and made and impact to lead us to the playoffs. Questioning his decision making was fine but his team leadership was wrong.

At the end of the day I think the demand that was questioned was the sum of money he wanted.

He was a good Giant and wanted great money.

The Giants never received the level he is currently playing at, not even close.

Even hear in Wisconsin everyone thought they overpaid.

He certainly has hit another level in Green Bay
