Always been a lot of chatter here about picking up a good RB in a later round.  Maybe it finally happened.  I hope so.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

Not slowing my roll

This is shaping up to be an extremely strong draft by Schoen.

Nabers, Nubin, Phillips, Tracy all strong picks (thus far) Muasau looked alright in Week 1 I guess too, just not alot of opportunities at LB with Okereke and McFadden here. Theo is starting and has potential, Jones just needs to look his way more. Chatman UDFA also has some potential.

Alot of like about 2024s rookie class.

Based on this pace Tracy could make all-rookie.

Was thinking that said a lot about how much the rookie RBs are getting carries.

2007 was the year we lost an all star RB in Tiki Barber (he was way more productive career wise than Saquon). All Giant fans were in shock and many thought the O would bomb without him.

Jerry Reese proceeded to have one of the better all time Giant drafts with 4-5 guys being strong contributors to a Super Bowl that season as rookies after an 1-2 start.

-He drafted a very savvy and pro ready receiver and pro ready DB in round 1-2. (Ross/Steve Smith)
-He drafted a TE and a RB who ended up becoming quite reliable in the later rounds (Ahmad Bradshaw/Kevin Boss)

Notice any similarities developing? (sans maybe a Super Bowl run but everything else!)

Not on did we lose Tiki but the RB core was still very deep with Jacobs, Ward, Bradshaw and Droughens that Reese had to trade away his 5th string tailback Ryan Grant to the Packers and he became their #1.
