Is he the worst coach in the NFL?

Messiah717

He should be fired so it's not surprising.

As speculated, he gets one more start.  If he has another meh/bad start, the Giants will make the change.  Currently, he's had 1 plus start in his last 4 games, if his ration slips to 1 vs 5, the Giants are completely justified to bench him.  With Pitt next, it seems plausible that next week's game will end DJ's tenure with our Giants.

It is a road game so he might play decent... but it's also prime time so he'll probably suck lol

DaveBrown74

They probably have a set number of games in mind with Jones and a plan.

LMAO....good one, Sound.

Run DJ out there so Mara can see what his involvement in player decisions does. No more "oh, we ruined Danny Boy" in the middle of negotiations. You wanted him Mara, you got him. And it's set this franchise back years. Might as well get rid of all the excuses that he didn't get enough time to showcase himself (oh wait, those excuses will shift this week as they always do). $40MM for this... What a joke.

If the Franchise was set back then please explain 2022 when Jones led the team to a road playoff victory and earned a second contract. The Giants hadn't been to the playoffs in ten years. After the Vikings victory, (Jones 300 yards passing and 100 running) what did you expect Schoen to do? Not sign Jones and draft a QB so they can start all over again? Jones contract is now the 16th highest and has an out this year. It was a no brainer and Mara had nothing to do with it.

But go ahead - tell us what you would have done at the end of 2022.

Mark Sanchez stated the team's offensive performance wasn't Jones fault. Daboll said the loss wasn't Jones' fault. Jones still gives them the best chance to win . But with no OL it doesn't make a difference.

Said it then and stick by it now- in retrospect it seems painfully obvious they should have TAGGED Jones and given Barkley a multi-year contract- not the other way around.

Cool. One game.

We constantly talk of contracts being for "what you will do" not "what you've done".

What has Jones done since signing the deal, with a clear second year exit, that makes you think they shouldn't take the exit.

The deal was clearly designed with this in mind.

So do you want to take it?

6 years. The Giants made the playoffs in 2016.

Ah that perennial winner, Mark Sanchez.

From the booth, he didn't even see the open wandale in the 1st quarter. That's who you want to rest on?

Okay.

He's an incompetent dog crap QB.  I know you want to die on this hill but this is becoming more annoying than the constant losing.  He doesn't have a home field TD pass in two friggin years.  Enough already.

Without knowing if he's under pressure from Mara to start Jones I don't know how you can know that for sure.
