The only way the losing culture changes for the Giants is if John Mara departs from any and all football decisions. He is the consistent culture problem.

That won't happen, so it will have to come from better GMs, coaches, scouts, players, trainers, etc.

Mara is not going anywhere. Not anytime remotely soon anyway.

Ben Johnson the OC of the Lions may be the hottest HC prospect.  He runs a really aggressive offensive playcalling.

Younger Mara is as incompetent as his father who thankfully had others who finally saved the franchise.  The same become true in the Eli years.

Now we have incompetent Mara, an incompetent coach, an incompetent QB and a GM who might be good but probably wants to jump out a window.

The culture has to be one of accountability.  If a WR is dropping balls, bench him.  If a QB is failing, bench him.  Giants do not seem to be holding anyone accountable.   Ultire problem for sure.

He is not coming to the Giants . He turned down requests last year from teams . If he goes anywhere it would be as the Cowboys HC

I have heard and read this mantra often over the years. I've never heard it coming from anyone in the Organization during and after they left. Plenty of fired Coaches and GMs. Must be some powerful binding NDAs.

Funny. People say he is overrated but Tomlin creates a culture the Giants can dream of. You'd think we would try to harness something like that vs aiming for Buffalo light.

Overrated? He has never had a losing season? But the culture comes from the top. How many coaches have the Steelers had in the past 30 years?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This organization has embraced a culture of low expectations and excuse making. I thought maybe it was just Gettleman trying to save his own skin, but hearing some of the comments from Mara over the past few years, I'm certain the  rotten culture is coming from him.

Nobody who matters from those years is here anymore.  There are several teams who've never sniffed a SB that are far more attractive.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.
