They lost by one score despite good defensive play, a near 150yd rusher, a 100yd receiver, and good kicking.

Jones is awful, he is cooked, there is no more juice to squeeze out of this rotten lemon of a QB. All we have is a dry, wrinkled rind of one with no zest

I dont care if you are Don Shula, Andy Reid, Belichick, or Chuck Noll in their primes all combined, you don't win with this QB

You also do not win with Ronnie Barnes. This QB, and injuries elsewhere are the problem

A good QB and a little depth and we are a playoff team.

Add in a secondary upgrade and another OL, and maybe one more weapon and we are legitimate.

Wide open receivers every week, poor decisions, locking on, deer in headlights etc, along with injuries.

Jones and Barnes are the problem. Daboll is fine and not the issue here.

I agree with all of this. Troy was spot on, Jones waits to see the play, he does not trust it. No instincts. Daboll deserves credit, he is holding it together while
operating with a hand tied behind his back.

EDjohnst1981

I agree but Dabs has to take the fall for the procedure penalties.

Granted, he can share the blame for the delay of game with Jones (x2). The rest are on him.

I'll second that Daboll is not the problem. He's scheming guys open every week. He can't throw the ball for Jones.

JT39

He's a major problem.

Team is undisciplined
Players are quitting
Cost us the redskins game by not having a healthy kicker
Special teams are still awful
His play calling in the red zone is pathetic

At some point you can't blame one player for everything.

Doesn't the QB call for the ball to be snapped before the players are set?
"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

ehhhh. i agree that jones just is not the guy. but daboll is not a good coach. all the penalties...the announcers correctly mentioning why would you not give elumanor help against jj watt... these are all coaching things. just because we hung in there does not mean daboll is a good coach. i havent seen a well coached game from him in a long time.

Same thing I was going to mention.

I've never had so much disdain for our QB as I did last night.

Daboll is gradually losing my support with the second half play-calling. The screens were still available and Tracy was running well. Pittsburgh was so aggressive with their pass rush, some misdirection runs or moving the pocket. This is why I don't like head coaches pulling coordinator duties as well. He was so pissed off that he couldn't think straight to call better plays for the offense. If he lasts the season, I hope he fires the OC and hires someone else.

Jones and Daboll both need to go.  The Jones experiment is long overdone and you cannot let an incompetent head coach ruin the development of any bright spots they do have.

11 penalties

sloppy play including yet again dropped passes

throw your QB under the bus after the game

terrible 2 point call

bench your number one CB

Those are not the signs of a team with a good head coach

Because he never has himself or the team prepared.

Not all penalties are on the coach.

I thought the line played OK. The play calling in the first half was pretty good. I do fault him for going away from what was working and not calling plays to take advantage of the aggressiveness of Watt and Hightower.

I hated the 2-point attempt and that stupid ass play choice.

I don't have a problem with benching Banks. Something is up with him.

Throwing Jones under the bus is a message to Mara that he's sick and tired of trotting that dude out there. So am I.
