Much has been made about drafting a QB high in the draft, including how many have succeeded and how many have failed. I would say more have failed than succeeded, but I also have to say that you can't get better if you don't try.
We know where we are with Jones. Yes, in a perfect world where we get all the bounces, he can win, but he will never take us to another championship. Even his die-hard supporters will admit that. So do we stay with him and hope all the pieces always align, or do we take that shot, hoping to hit the jackpot once again?
for me the answer is perfectly clear, either we spend Jones's career as a losing or at best middling team, or do we go for the chance, even if it might be a long shot, with drafting a new hope in QB?
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

If you do not have a SB ceiling, you absolutely keep trying to raise that bar until you do.

2. Eli did not pad stats in garbage time or whatever because they were losing a bunch of games .

Giants lost 6 games in which they held leads or were tied within the final 2 minutes. They held double digit leads in the 4th QTR in 2 of them.

McAdoo came here in 2014 to run a west coast offense. He was the play caller in 2014 and 2015.

Double digit leads and the the offense couldn't take time off the clock.

This is too funny! The brilliant Ben Mcadoo who had a Baker who had Darnold ; who started PJ Walker and has done a whole heap of nothing!!!!! for YEARS since leaving here; but yea that Ben Mcadoo .... he was the reason why a 2 X SB MVP; who put up top 5-6 QB stats ; who beat a goat in SB not once but twice; who would think that that guy actually had a good year in 2015???? I mean one of Phil Simms best years as a QB was when he was north of 30 it just happens.

I can only see it now 10 years from now ... "you know i was right ; Daniel jones in his rookie year was a great QB ... everyone ruined him.... I was right " Meanwhile he's going to be the Mcadoo equivalent of being like a 3rd stringer on Eagles soon and fpr a long time.
