Giant Obsession

A cadre of ultra high draft choices the last 5 years and excepting Nabers (for now), only one appears is a difference maker and sadly his m.o. appears to be perpetually injured.

A QB who we hopefully have figured out is not an NFL QB, much less franchise or even pedestrian class.

Another cadre of ultra high draft choices at CB, the latest is writing his own death notice.

Offensive line....please are there any other retreads from other teams  we can overpay to come here and occupy space.  And let us not mention choosing the wrong C in the draft 2 years ago.  Only 2 choices and we choose WRONG.

WR..well hopefully Nabers will calm down shut his mouth and catch the ball.   Wandale uhh not feeling it, and even if I was he's not catching it.  Hyatt, STILL learning to run routes...STILL ????

Tight Ends, hey we bring a million of em and by years end might total 20 catches.  I do hold out hope for Theo, but since our QB does not use the middle of the field or know what a seam route is, the jury will remain out.

DL..our only saving grace with what appears to be a world of potential and an all World DT.  Thibs...fools gold, guess who are the fools ??

LB seems a servicable bunch who play hard.  Simmons, block a kick collect 5 million, now back to the bench.

PK and P enough to fill a small wing in a hospital.

HC please do not make extoll the virtues of a Josh Allen hand me down who has blown FOUR games in the last 2 years.

Joe Shoen, well the airlines love him with all the players he has flown in for "tryouts".  Hey Joe, half of what I see on the field every Sunday look like tryout fails.  Great job with that state of the art draft room.  Npw how about some state of the art scouts.

The current state of this hobby (calling it a franchise would denote some type of business plan is in effect) makes me long for the 1966 season.  At least they entertained and actually put the ball in the end zone.  Heck, that teams 3rd string QB fresh off the minor league sandlots at midseason threw TEN TOUCHDOWN PASSES.

That's enough vitriol for now, time to walk the dog and get ready for another Daniel Jones extravaganza performance.  Against the team I hate the most.  The Redskins.  You see I still remember 72 - 41.  A good hate can last a lifetime.

Thank you all for letting me vent.  I would like to think this will pass, but honestly not with the picture I see in front of me.

Now that they are the Commanders they are not as hateful. Why can't the NFL force the Giants owner out?

Come on...you may not like the direction of the team, but to conflate the Mara's with Daniel Snyder is completely unwarranted.  The latter has questionable morales and integrity, the former epitomizes both.  The Maras were good enough to win 4 SBs in 40 years, better than 90% of all NFL teams.  They'll be fine once they select the right QB.

I still believe this could be the kind of situation that will be really good for a young QB so long as Andrew Thomas can stay healthy.

I wasn't being serious. Snyder was a low life classless owner. The Maras won Super Bowls thanks to the NFL interceding and putting competent people in place. Overall the Maras and the Giants have been a losing franchise. But I am not equating them with Snyder.

They will always be known as "The team formerly known as the Redskins" to me.

George Allen

Quarterbacks with single bar face masks

Mark Moseley

John Riggins

Art Monk and Gary Clark

The Hogs

It's a storied rivalry. Both have had their struggles in recent memory but the "former Redskins" have their QB and confidence in their direction. The Giants are, well, as we discussed in the poll a few weeks ago, spinning their wheels in the mud.

Changes will be made next year. What exactly will happen is anyone's guess, but it does not work as is because the team, as a whole, cannot compete with any other team in the NFL at this time.

It will be interesting to see how far up the Chain of Command the changes go.

Peace!
