With the exception of Sanders (who does seem to have so issues, similar to Caleb last year) likely being a number one or top 3 QB prospect, the rest are essentially a tick below Bo Nix or Pennix caliber

Barring a QB or two separating themselves from the pack between now and draft day it looks like most of the teams drafting in the top 10 will have plenty of QBs to pick from but most will be considered a reach.

I need to do more work on Cam Ward. I have a friend who really likes him but I've only scouted one game earlier in the year. I like Sanders QB play a lot. He's up there with Daniels and Calib.

I'd be thrilled with either

I know some are scared of Sanders cause of his dad, but the kid can play and has football in his DNA.

I think this is a great QB class, but what do I know. I think Carson Beck is going to at the top of the want list, and I wouldn't ignore Jaxson Dart from Ole Miss. There will be quality in the 2nd round as well...like Kyle McCord (SU), or Will Howard (OSU)
The fact that Keith Richards has outlived Richard Simmons, sure makes me question this whole, "healthy eating and exercise" thing

Stringer Bell

I've come around, a bit, on the idea of throwing a couple of darts the next 2 years in the hopes of getting lucky once.

I don't want to reach in round 1 if we're not 100% sold on someone, but I'm more agreeable to someone like Beck in Round 2 than I was before.

But I think I'd rather take a chance on Rourke from Indiana in Round 4-5 then Beck in Round 2 - especially if we don't get a CB in round 1.

With my son being an Ohio St. fan, I've seen plenty of McCord and Howard and am not a fan of either as NFL prospects.

Doesn't matter how they are ranked. After passing on one last year they have no choice.

I have watched 4 games, and all four left me unimpressed, but I rather have him than any QB on our team. Give me any of the above-mentioned names and get another one in round 3 and have a QB competition in camp. Bring back Taylor or Mariota, Flacco for one year and let the two drafted QBs sit and learn

I agree about Sanders. I'm quite high on him too.

I'm not high on any other QB at this time.

I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

I think it's a pretty good rule for the NFL,don't draft a QB you don't love.

A second rule is don't make yourself fall in love.

Quote from: files58 on November 07, 2024, 05:12:28 PMDon't sleep on Brady Cook at Missouri.
Brady Cook has been anemic this season. Missing wide open passes and reads despite having one of the best Wrs in college football. You could say the same about Carson Beck who has 10 Tds and 11 ints in the last 5 games. Both haven't looked like their 2023 versions.

I'd Take Darnold in a heartbeat, add assets this offseason and shoot for a Qb in 2026 unless one of the better Qbs this year falls to the late 1st or early 2nd.

In a perf to world, yeah. But when your coach and GM are desperate, they will have no choice.
