If he is concussed or injured that kinda makes it harder to trade and pass physicals and stuff

They may have still kept him regardless idk what goes on in Schoens office, but its possible.

It is another chance for Hyatt to (finally) step up.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant - Robert McCloskey (if he were on this Forum)

If not now, when?  Panthers have the 32nd ranked overall defense. OK, a little better against the pass - 23rd....but still, this is Hyatt's best opportunity to date.  Show up.

Well first they have to put him on the field. Which appears to be a bit of a phobia for the staff right now. And then he's going to need Jones to get the ball in his zip code. But I'm pretty confident if he gets good run he's going to be open. A lot.

Hyatt to explode. If he gets the targets. Looking forward to seeing this.

Hyatt has to run the correct route to get the ball.

Yes, that's why I said if he gets the targets. No QB is throwing the ball to a guy not running the correct route.

Is there any evidence that he isn't? I'm really not asking you the question; I'm just thinking out loud. It seems to me that he's just not in the first two reads of a play. I wonder because he has 169 passing snaps, and he's been in the backfield once, in the Slot 20 times, and wide 148 times. While being targeted just 8 times. Seems to me that he's just a decoy. There is the PFF Grades of 45.9, so there is that. But I wonder how educated an evaluator is who doesn't get paid to critique 169 Routes.

They move Malik around to Slot a lot more 99 times/ 323 Wide. Btw, half his Targets have been Short Range.

"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

There was a play a few weeks back that Hyatt was targeted.  Jones threw the ball in one direction and Hyatt went in the other.  Don't even remember who it was against.  Looked like Hyatt may have misread coverage.  I am assuming it was Hyatt and not Jones for a couple of reasons:  1) Hyatt was pulled after that, 2) Jones has his flaws, but he seems to be on the same page as his receivers on an overwhelming majority of passes.

Just one play?  I guess he's only on the field for 1 or 2 a game so it would have to be that few.  Nevertheless I still think that playing this guy is going to help him correct a lot of those mistakes and furthermore, last year with an even worse QB/OL combination than he has this year he made some plays simply by being more athletic than the opponent and having fantastic hands.  I hope they give him a real chance to do something this week but I'm not holding my breath.  It seems like once you're in Daboll's doghouse that's where you stay.

I don't have numbers in front of me, but I feel like Slayton has been one of the more durable Giants of the last several years. I know he's had a couple of issues but by and large he's been pretty dependable.

This is the 6th game he's missed in his 6 seasons, including this one.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

Not slowing my roll

That's excellent on any team for a wide receiver. On the Giants, given their track record with keeping players healthy, that is truly exceptional.
