I think his play calling is certainly not perfect, but it doesn't jump off the screen as nearly as bad to me as what we got from Garrett, Mike Shula, etc. I would also add that nobody had a negative word to say about his play calling in Buffalo. On the contrary, he was the leading head coaching candidate due to his work there.

So I'd argue the struggles have much more to do with the QB and the offense in general than they do him.

All totally fair.

While he didn't call plays all year last year, he did take over at some points and call plays.

And I completely agree that bad QB play is the main culprit. But I also believe that replacing DJ will not be a cure-all for this team's issues. I believe that Daboll's play-calling is also part of the problem.
