I know that this will most likely never happen but I can dream a little . Somehow , I don't know how, it could be conveyed to Ben Johnson that we want him to be our HC next year. We will have a top pick to get a new QB , we have some talented players  and money for free agents.

Unfortunately in my opinion Ben Johnson will be the next head cosach of the Dallas Cowboys next year.

Daboll is not the guy to lead us to a playoff.

Ben Johnson may be the hottest coaching candidate this offseason.

He was the hottest candidate last year as well. There was a race to sign him but he told all the teams he wanted 15 million a year. His agent tried to say it wasnt true. There is a reason every team passed, I mean the Panthers took a nobody, and the seahawks took a guy that was a year removed from being the DC at Michigan to be their HCs.

Jerry Jones would probably pay him

I would pay a HC with an proven NFL record $15 million per but not an OC.  Too many unknowns.

You pay what you have to pay . Is Juan Soto worth $70 million a year . NO !!!  But that is what it might take to sign him.

We know he has some good offensive ideas.  Is he a leader of men?  Or is he able to work well in a niche with a boss that's a great leader?

You completely missed my point.  You dont pay an OC who is unproven as a successful HC what a successful HC gets paid.  That's the definition of a gamble.

uconn: Good point. However, if forced to say which Daboll is better at, I'd say better at designing plays and offensive concepts than being a leader of men. Bob
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

Regardless of the man or the salary, I see a point that can be made about a deciding factor in keeping or firing a HC being who's available to replace him.
"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

So BD, Ben Johnson's current success as Lions OC with a talented and highly productive QB makes him a greater want for the Giants than Daboll, who was equally successful with the Bills and Josh Allen, and who against all odds has earned a COTY with an otherwise second-rate QB in Daniel Jones?

In any case, as that's usually how such things proceed in the NFL, you needn't worry about being thought rash or impulsive.

Cheers!
