Quote from: Symphony Steve on November 14, 2024, 06:46:54 PMIt's not about that.  It's about owning the media narrative and continuing to have the Cowboys front and center.

Plus, increasingly, the tickets aren't sold regardless.  You can tell by the increasing number of opposing fans who get in.  Home fans don't want to see their team stink up the joint every week.

I'm DYING on this hill.  Mark my words: Coach Deion.  Place a bet and take it to the bank.
The opposing fans are buying the tickets from C*wb*ys season ticket holders.  It will not impact ticket sales.  It is 2024, not 1984.  It is VERY easy to get tickets to whatever event/game you want nowadays.

If you willing to pay above market for popular events by winning home teams sure. I'm old enough to remember when that was called scalping and was illegal.

I looked over the salary cap (always a critical element). I could see this scenario: Without Dak and with the team's current problems, the Cowboys fire McCarthy and are in the top five in the draft order.

The team trades away Dak (taking a post-June 1st designation to ease the cap burden) and their high pick to acquire Shedeur, which thrills Deion Sanders as the Dallas Cowboys' new coach.

That father-son duo would be the talk of the NFL and even outside the NFL. Jerry Jones would once again be center stage, a position he loves.

... and the Giants sign Dak (not a favorite of mine, but it would satisfy those here who think we need a veteran QB, which would allow us to get a developmental QB in the 2nd or 3rd round)? Bob
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

I think they mean a good veteran qb.

If Dak is traded, the team receiving him would have a substantial cap hit but below $50 million per season.
