SMART, TOUGH, DEPENDABLE

I have heard lots of different people here claim it takes three years to fully evaluate a draft class.

Is this conventional wisdom no longer true?

I like the graphic idea. I find it interesting, especially as someone who deals  with evidence and methodology as living, why are the offense not given the much vaunted, yet widely accepted as flawed, PFF grades. Is there a reason for that?

Nevertheless, Tracey has an eye popping 5.29 yards per carry - that's looking like a great Schoen pick.  Nabers looks good, it ought to need no further explaination.

It's harder to analyse the D performance, considering it's a QB driven league, so early. And to do so. Is frankly unfair.

I don't think anyone is claiming it is a true and complete evaluation.  But it beats the heck out of 2 or three out injured and the others not doing much as has been too often the case.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

You don't think the headline "The Giants Crushed the 2024 Draft" is fairly conclusive?

We won't know the final score until about 3 years but these kids are jumping out to a nice lead here in the 1st quarter.

No, I think everybody realizes it is halfway through the first year and the headline is taken in that context.

A rising team from the bottom normally needs 2-3 good drafts to really get there.  Giants did a solid in 2024.  Those 2024 players need to keep developing.  Giants need to come back in 2025 with another haul of prospect players with one being a QB.
