I guess this is open to interpretation.  My guess, Slayton is ready to move on from the Giants

Good. Hyatt is better and cheaper. Slayton can't be trusted in big spots. He's also been a bit salty with his quotes in the past if I'm not mistaken.

He has defended Jones vociferously, those are the only quotes I know about, but I am sure not the only ones that exist.

I think if he goes to the right team he will have 1k+ yards, 8+ TDs and 17+ yards/catch.  It's not going to happen with the Giants though.

Overall I think he has been a good soldier and one of the best late round picks this team has seen in quite a while.

I cannot point to a singular quote by slayton so I'll apologize in advance if I am wrong on that. I for some reason remember reading stuff in the past which made me a bit uneasy is all

Slayton has been a good Giants teammate. I wish him no ill-will. I'm sure that statement was borne from too many years of consistent losing.

The one constant is Mara and his nepotism.

He's been the best and most consistent Receiver on this team before Nabors with a lot less targets. I've been his advocate on this site in the many times he's been maligned.

I wonder if he was told that Hyatt has been elevated to his slot after last week?

I'd like to keep him next season with a new QB. I think we have a solid WR room as it is currently. I agree with Schoen and Daboll that we have good talent, at least at the skill positions. We need a QB to take them from good to great.

Let's face facts: this isn't a knock on Jones, but a QB that can effectively and consistently get the ball in the hands of his playmkers will boost their production and their stats will reflect accordingly.

Too many drops and almosts over the years for me. Also he seems to get nicked up more as he is getting older. I'd go with Hyatt and save $. Should've tried trading him because he's definitely not worth a big contract in my opinion

Nabors has 7 drops, Slay-4, WDR-4, Hyatt-2.

Slayton has 50 targets and Hyatt has 12. I'm a Hyatt fan too, but just the facts Jack.

In terms of how things are doing in the locker room and how the Giants are holding things together after another 2 wins out of 10 start to the season, this is not a good look.

I can't tell if the post is a commentary about Schoen releasing a contributing player or if Slayton is jealous that McCloud has escaped the dysfunction that is NYG
