Alabama was outhustled, outcoached, outplayed at every position. Oklahoma's lines dominated. Milroe was bad, but he had zero support. Dropped passes. The coach will be on the hot seat very quickly next season.

How many bad/off games does Milroe have this year?

According to PFF the yesterday's game was the best of his bad games.  Using PFF grades, Milroe has 4 bad games

VS OK -  66.8
VS TN-   49.7
VS S. Carolina-  60.8
VS USF-  60.0

Would have thought the Vandy game would be on the list.  I watched a lot of that one and didn't think he was overly impressive.  But I guess it was the defense that was less impressive that game.

After I posted my response, I looked at ESPN to see how QB rating and QBR played out.  Believe it or not, Vandy wouldn't make that list either.  By QBR (which I figure better captures his running) his bad games were

OU- 15.4
Tenn-  61.3
USF- 43.4

A bit of a stretch but you could throw in

Miz- 70.0

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on November 24, 2024, 07:01:53 AMAbsolutely agree. OSU, Texas, Oregon, and UGA are perhaps the four best teams, but I don't know that for sure and even if they are it's not like any of them are unbeatable. I get that Oregon is undefeated, and they do have the signature win against OSU which is impressive, but on a neutral field I don't think they're head and shoulders above these other teams.

Great day of college ball yesterday. Tons of meaningful games, lots of drama. I am loving the 12 team system. People who say it has undermined the sanctity of the regular season are mistaken in my opinion. It is actually enhancing the regular season by making a lot more games meaningful late in the season than would be the case were there only four teams in the CFP.

I was a naysayer on a 12 team playoff because I have always thought that 95% of the time it is always the top 4 as best teams and the other 5% is maybe 1 other team but no way it may be 12 teams.  In one season I've been proven wrong.  Maybe it's NIL that is gamechanging this.

Assuming DK is right, we can expect to see the following QB prospects in the playoffs

As a PSU fan, I'm hoping we get to finally see an SEC team play some winter ball up in Beaver Stadium.  It's pretty cool to think that some of these teams from the south and west have almost NEVER played in adverse cold/snow/ice conditions and we may get to see some of that for the 1st time on a big stage.

SEC homer Paul Finebaum said he could see a scenario with a 3 loss SEC team getting into playoffs.  That would be ridiculous.

Alabama hasn't put up only three points in a game in 20 years. Mike Shula was the coach then, and it was four years before Saban arrived. Alabama was a middling at best SEC team at that time. Interesting if not amazing that PFF thinks that yesterday's game by Milroe was not even one of his three worst games of the season, let alone his worst. He was horrid in my opinion.

I think a 3 loss SEC team would destroy most of the projected top 12 rn. They would be a dog at OSU and Oregon but outside that who would you put money on them to beat? No ones scared of Texas, Notre Dame, Penn St etc.

The Jennings kid at SMU and Leavitt at ASU have some real game if either get in.

Are they entering the draft.  I went off Walterfootball list of QB prospects?

Leavitt can go but not sure on Leavitt. Miller Moss the once qb prospect for this draft just quit football altogether a few games ago so you never can tell.
