Holy cow..that was vicious. I hope Trevor recovers, but wow, he could have been paralyzed. That wasn't football..that was thuggery. Deliberate and worthy of a huge fine and suspension.

If that happened to Mahomes or Allen and Jackson, the league would freak out.

The football Doc is looking at the event in terms of the mechanism of injury.  He didn't see the direct blow to the head by the player but rather the head striking the ground.  Medically, there is some significance in those observations.  To Doc, posturing was his biggest issue.

Listening to NFL coverage, the outrage over his actions was pretty universal.

Much like Tom Brady ignorantly slandering a good man on national TV to the applause of some, here is the "apology" from the man who put the vicious and illegal hit on Lawerence.   It seems DARVO has become the new norm.  The man seriously harmed another player, and he's trying to portray himself as the victim.

There was a time when an apology was just that, an apology.  Long on the "sorry" part short on the "explanation part" and never trying to turn things around.

At full speed and the players that close together, I am not sure that hit is a cheap shot plus it looks like he hit him in the chest not his head but that his head snapped forward then back and hit the ground.

Even at full speed, Al Shaair could see Lawrence started his slide, giving himself up. There was no reason for him to even attempt to touch him, let alone put his forearm into his neck.

He needs to be suspended at a minimum of two games.

Good that he was suspended, I would have doubled it, especially when you consider his actions post hit.
