The Jags just beat the Titans . So right now if the Giants lose today and lose the rest of the way , the lowest they could pick is 2

I'm going to laugh my ass when the Giants land the #2 pick in a draft with a near unanimous 1-2 pair, and they pick someone else (Ward) and he's a bust.

So are you saying that if the Giants cannot select Sanders they should not select a QB . If they have the number 2 pick would it be Travis Hunter?

Hey there, Brooklyn Dave.

If you give me the #2, I'm taking LT Kelvin Banks Jr. out of Texas. Even though he's out against Georgia with the ankle injury, he's the guy whom the Giants can build their new offense off of. If the Giants can move down a pick or two, gain some draft capital for 2026's draft, and still get Banks Jr., it's a no-brainer.

Get a bridge QB next season and use the draft capital to move up, as needed, to get your guy in 2026.

If they are going to blow up the current state, it's going to take two or three years to build up the team and the Operations organization in the right direction anyway. Be strategic and look at your three to five year plan and what is realistic, what risks do you have to manage, what opportunities should you pursue and what does success look like at the end of the rainbow?

Rushing to pick a QB in a 2025 class, who may not be there at pick #2 for what you are looking for, is the quickest way for the new regime to go the route of the previous regime. If your QB isn't there, build your foundation then build out.

Peace

I'm not a fan of Ward, and I think Ewers and Allar have just as much upside and can be had a round later.

Hunter is an elite talent and is probably the closest thing to a sure thing in this draft. He also plays 2 positions where the Giants have needs. In other words, they're sure to pass on him.

Somehow it doesn't seem funny to me

Yeah why would this be funny? You would be rooting for Ward to fail just so you can say you knew?

Good grief. It's a "laugh or you'd cry" take on what being a fan of this team the last decade has felt like.

Nowhere did I say I would be rooting for Ward to fail so I could say "I told you so".

Reread what you wrote. You are already predicting that Ward will a bust. Backtrack all you want.

k-man: To my memory I have NEVER disagreed with you, but....if the Giants have the #2 pick and the QB they want is taken ahead of them (assuming there IS one they believe is worth the top pick) and the Giants take anyone other than Travis Hunter, I'll probably have to buy a gun.

It could actually work out a bit like the 1981 draft, when the only team ahead of the Giant in the draft took [irrelevant] and the Giants were "stuck" with Lawrence Taylor, a true game-changer, not only for the Giants but for Pro Football in general.

Whoever has the top pick next year must take Hunter (IMO) unless they desperately need a QB AND don't see one worth using the top pick (I sure don't) AND they can't trade down OR won't trade down for whatever reason. The guy is a game-changer even for the piss-ant Giants, and possibly also for the league over-all because he plays both sides of the ball as well as LT played linebacker AND I predict he will do so in the NFL, with great success.

If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

Hi Bob,

I'm flattered by your compliment so I must honestly consider your take on Harris and what he'll bring to the team who drafts him.

If the Giants are the lucky ones, let's both hope they'll know how to properly utilize him.

I still like Banks Jr., but he can be had within the top 10. If the Giants have a chance to move down a couple of slots and pick up another #1 in the top 10, and can fet both of them, I think we have a winner.

We have a while before April so we'll be having this discussion again before it ia all said and done.

Peace!

What team has two top-10 picks?
