Just a reminder that Rashawn Slater is ranked 2nd among all offensive tackles and Micah Parsons is ranked 6th among all edge rushers. Gettleman passed on both of them. Instead we got Toney and Evan Neal. One of the most damaging trades in franchise history.

That might be it for Toney in the NFL.

He should forget about football and focus exclusively on his superstardom in the hip-hop industry.

There's always Canada. But he's gonna come with a 20% import tax.  :smoking:
"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

And the bears gave up a haul to take fields, gettleman was hailed as a hero at the time.  Fields was a flop, the Bears moved on and they've still ended up with a QB with potential moving forward before us.

We really are the laughing stock of the league.

That's why I think it's nonsense when some say professional football management can always pick better players than fans can.

And even after making the trade we could have had Christian Darrisaw and Garret Wilson

LOL, he may be worse at music than he is football, and that is saying something

Exactly! Matter of fact, if the Giants would have drafted the players the majority of us Giants fans on this forum wanted, the Giants wouldn't be the laughing stock of the NFL! Although Thibs/Neal has been a black eye on the fans and GM as we almost all wanted them.
Ain't nothing to it but to do it!

Tied with DeAndre Baker for worst first round pick in franchise history.

Where does Rocky Thompson rank? Believe or not but Toney had more total Yards as a rookie than Thompson's entire career.

NFL guys constantly miss on character which creates boom/bust types.  I feel like I might pick a player who does not live up what I thought was his ceiling but he'd be average at worst and not a bust.  A bust is rarely because pf talent.  It's about character and maturity.  Those I read well.

I feel like not too long ago fans were condemning the Giants for not taking more chances on character issue guys.
