Quote from: Gmo11 on December 12, 2024, 10:23:35 AMThere's no reason for anybody with a scratch on their finger to play in these games.  It's a little nuts they keep running Nabers out there given the circumstances.  They need to lose these last few games.  The minute somebody reports any sort of injury...immediately to IR.  Sorry dude.  Collect your check, put your feet up, and prepare for next year when the team is going to be considerably better.
If only I could believe it will be better with this group in charge,.....I would feel better about it ....I thought this year was going to be better....but yet again the injuries started early and often without adequate back ups on the roster....a d things quickly went down as season progressed.   Giants are one of most injured teams in league every year.

Quote from: TDToomer on December 12, 2024, 10:44:26 AMWe still need to dress 46 players. Why not let the rookies get more experience? Nabors is losing out on a chance at making all-rookie with McConkey and Thomas Jr ahead of him in yards thanks to poor QB play. He needs to play.

And if he blows out his ACL or suffer another concussion?  He's not winning any ROY awards with Devito/Lock around so I'm more concerned with getting him 100% in 2025.  I know that as long as he says he's healthy he's going to play but I do hope the first time he mentions anything to any trainer it's immediately to IR for him.

Any player can suffer an ACL or concussion on any play.
Never said ROY. I said all-rookie where we have/had 4 candidates.
I want to see progress and growth the final 4 games. Not a 1987 replacement team.

yea but it's like the preseason games.  If he's going to blow out his ACL at least do it in a game that matters.  Doing it in the preseason or a game like this is actually avoidable.

Might have to wait for him to play until 2027 for a game that matters

From NBCSports.

QuotePanthers WR Xavier Legette said he will likely undergo wrist surgery at the end of the season.
Earlier this year, Legette re-aggravated a wrist injury he suffered in 2021 while in college. The rookie receiver all but confirmed he will have surgery to repair ligaments in his left wrist at the end of this season but will be on the field for Week 15's game against the Cowboys. Legette is hoping to rebound from a devastating drop in last week's game against the Eagles that may have secured an upset win for the Panthers. He is currently sitting on 39-432-4 receiving line.

The Panthers aren't shutting down their Malik Nabors who needs surgery and they have nothing to play for. You may not like it but bottom record teams want to see their rookies play to get experience. It's no different from a MLB or NHL team playing some minor league call ups and young players after being eliminated from the playoffs.

I mean I wouldn't necessarily look at the Panthers and follow their lead on much.  And yea I know nobody would actually do it...I don't even think Nabers would want it...I'm just saying if they did it would be understandable.
