I agree ....

If we don't resign van rotten or an upgrade at guard ..... if moving Neal to guard gives us Ereck Flowers in Miami at guard kind of play for a year or 2 I'd take that as a stop gap

We need to start that experiment now .... Give him these last two games at guard to see if it's a worthwhile experiment for next season

First of all on the Wash. TD the right tackle obvious to the whole world false started. No call. The Eagle world(team and fans) should be irate. I watch Daniels, and Maye. All of you on this board who don't understand and/or refuse to accept that there are useless wins, and useful losses, YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE.

We're tanking. The players know that. Everyone knows it.

It's good that we lost. That is clearly the objective. It just hasn't been said out loud.

Nope. The players aren't tanking. The coach isn't tanking. They're just really playing badly because they're a bad team.

He can't logically argue the point; thus, you get an overly emotional response.  It's just doc being doc.

If you all are REALLY drunk, why even bother debating the undebatable? Just pop another cold one, raise your bottles, and toast "Here's to a helluva 2025, God save us all!

:drunk:

Now, who's up for singing another round of "How Dry I Am?"

The Giants? Fugeddaboudum!

Peace!

"Dave Jennings was one of the all-time great Giants. He was a valued member of the Giants family for more than 30 years as a player and a broadcaster, and we were thrilled to include him in our Ring of Honor. We will miss him dearly." (John Mara)

Everyone, this is a lost season. There is only a couple of things worth watching. One, individual plsyers' effort and development. Second, winning the Tankathon.

Worrying about the coach and GM is wasted energy. That situation will resolve itself soon enough.

The Colts looked very good today. I'm sure they'll look great next week!

Peace!

You are mistaken. Many haven't been trying their hardest for some time now. That was apparent in the Tampa game and has been the case snce.

Daboll and Schoen know they have a job next year. They're not behaving like they're worried in the slightest.

If not, we'll make them look that good.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

Quote from: katkavage on December 22, 2024, 04:42:14 PMHe deserves nothing. I wanted Daniels badly too but what does that get me? Let him go to a team and be a QB coach if that's all that matters.
Right. McAdoo reportedly wanted Mahomes. At the end of the day it doesn't matter what you say or think. It only matters what you can deliver.

You're capable of being more articulate than asking someone if they're drunk.

I understand your frustration, but I would appreciate a more thoughtful and intellectual discussion on this matter. When evaluating our General Manager, it is essential to consider his recent performance as part of the broader conversation, rather than isolating it or assigning blame for decisions made before his tenure. The current state of this team is largely the consequence of poor decisions in the draft, particularly the failure to select a quarterback in 2018 and the misguided choice in 2019. These decisions set the course for where we are today.  Teams with bad QBs are bad, independent of their surrounding talent.

Additionally, I believe that John Mara played a significant role in influencing the decision to re-sign Daniel Jones, and I would like to see what the GM can accomplish with one more year, particularly if he can replicate the success of the 2024 season. As for the head coach, I'm not opposed to making a change if that's what the situation calls for, but I've never been sold on Daboll. In fact, I was one of the few who questioned whether his performance in 2022 was sustainable, and I stand by that view.

My apologies for the remark. We probably won't see eye-to-eye on this issue, but you've known me long enough to know that when I have a strong opinion on the Giants, it's usually rooted in logical reasoning. I can say the same about you. Being annoyed by the way a game is going doesn't change where my position ultimately comes from.

Yes, I've been beating the mismanagement drum for about a dozen years now. I don't hold Schoen responsible for anything that happened before he arrived. But I'm also no more impressed with him than I was with Jerry Reese. I think he's a JAG in terms of GMs.

I don't see Schoen as the biggest issue right now. But I do find Bobby Skinner's argument to be persuasive. For the most part, I just want a new QB paired with a HC who isn't on a short rope.

Nothing like an NFL analyst to start one of his posts with "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot." He need not say another word because we all know he's talking about the hapless, New York Football Giants (in his best Howard Cosell impersonation).

Peace!

Neal learned that move from Larry Donnell.
"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."
~ Coach Tom Coughlin
