They made mistakes all afternoon. A pathetic performance for a team that had an outside chance at the playoffs.

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on December 29, 2024, 03:56:32 PMWas Drew Lock today, and it's not remotely close. Just a sensational performance that completely towers over anything anyone else has done on this team this year.

And he did it without Andrew Thomas, to boot. Not to mention he was able to overcome the supposedly awful coaching and playcalling by Daboll.

Really impressive stuff.

And an inexplicable drop by Robinson didn't harm either.

As you say, an impressive, complete performance.

Jeff and I were discussing Drew Lock, and I was the one who had said that Daboll's poor coaching (along with the Giant's dysfunction) was making Lock look like a worse QB than he really was.
Then address it there. Only the participants follow that thread. The X folks are like WTF?

Did Schoen identify some talent and he's now comfortable enough that it's unlocked or is it a case of stopped clocks are correct twice a day?

If we started reviewing everyone's past statements it'd get quite ugly in here.

Oh wait the older ones get deleted. No more Davis Webb is a prodigy, or Daniel Jones is going to be lethal threads to peruse.

You have to be happy for the kid; although I believe it was a one off, he did sustain his NFL career today.  Good for him...

Wow, you got me.  I am not perfect.  Imagine not being perfect on over 107,000 posts.  At least my predictions were not malicious and intended to put other people down.  @EDjohnst1981 and @kingm56

I noticed the Colts safety #20 literally standing  in the corner of the end zone doing nothing but watching Drew Lock run into the end zone.

The Colts' defense looked like it could care less which means something was going on with the mindset. Perhaps they want their coach to get fired?

Lock faced a flat, incredibly leaderless team today also. He really had time and guys open all over the place, and played brilliantly. But I think it was very flukey.

Give him credit for winning  the Giants Monkey
Wrench award this year. :computer:  :jawdrop:

I thought the same thing. They looked absolutely lifeless all game. I think Richardson is part of it. Whether they stunk to oust Steichen hmmm. But with still having a chance to make the playoffs, it was a pathetic performance.

When you edit a post to take a shot, rich. At least write you've edited it.

I've not had a discussion with you for weeks. Quite why you're tagging me here, I dunno.

Jeez. All I did was comment on what I thought was a great QB performance by a Giants QB. Something we haven't had much of around here for quite some time, including the late Eli years as well as many of the other QBs besides Jones who have played here recently (Glennon, Fromm, DeVito, etc).

I appreciate that the win is not convenient for the objective of having the highest possible draft pick, but I don't really understand the controversy around me commenting enthusiastically on what was a great QB outing by a player on the team I root for. Which is all I did.
