It's why I truly believe the Giants are in a good spot (no not #1 or 2) but 4-8 to land a good DT, Edge or CB.  The QBs will get overdrafted.

Yup I agree for the most part. I have 2 CBs, CB Will Johnson, Michigan and WR/CB Travis Hunter, Colorado
The KING is in the building

Yes that's it IMHO.

Does he list Hunter as one of the three WR? I'd assume both he and Will Johnson have first round grades.

He lists Travis Hunter as 1 of the 3 WRs, however he said if he listed Hunter as a CB, he'd be the second behind Will Johnson.

We can get a real stud in round 1 but will have to look elsewhere from draft IMHO for a QB.  Frankly I'd roll with Justin Fields and get a top player in this draft in round 1 and search for gems beyond round 1.

I doubt Fields can take us to the promised land but his mobility would help with a porous OL and guys like Nabers may help him as he's not afraid to sling it downfield.

Thankfully, FA happens before the draft and there can be a dramatic shift in what teams want come draft day.  If Cleveland or the Titans were to sign Fields, then they likely no longer want a QB.  If Giants were to sign Fields or trade for JJ, who we want will change.

Great point.  If we dont sign a QB in FA before the Draft, that will be an obvious signal about our Draft class intentions.  I cant believe we'd pass on a QB in FA and the Draft.

Phil: My first shot at replying had so many errors in it, I just deleted it and re-posted the clarified version:

I see things about the same way as he does, but disagree that Pick [whatever] is better than Pick One.

I actually DID make a post indicating the opposite point of view (similar to your o.p.) but my reason was (and still is) a sarcastic view that Giants would pick the wrong guy even if they had Pick One.

The real (and important) difference to me is that at a lower pick, they are unlikely to have whomever they think is the best player in the draft fall to them, so they lose the opportunity to either (1) draft him or (2) trade the pick to somebody who wants him and is willing to overpay.

Bob
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!
