OK, he didn't absolutely guarantee it, but he did pretty much say it. He may be a lot of things but he's not usually one to go back on his word.

A few years ago he said the coach was safe (not sure if it was Schurmur or Judge) but then as it spiraled he canned the guy

If I recall the wording was different but it doesn't matter - we'll find out in 24 hours or less.

When they started DeVito over Jones in week 11, I thought they were safe then.

I still think that now.

I hope the Giants don't end with the Eagles next year so we don't totally revisit what has happened the past two years. But we will be back here next year talking about the coach and GM getting fired.
