No draft compensation if he departs for a lateral move.  It needs to be for a HC job

Sorry, this was originally reported as an OC job, and then it was changed.  There would be 2 third-round picks awarded if Kafka gets a head coaching job.

For his sake, I hope he gets it. He's wasting away here with the Giants.

For our sake, I hope he gets it.  We could use the comp picks.

For our sakes I hope he gets it. He won't though.

What on earth does he actually do?

From what I heard, Kafka gives an excellent account of himself in interviews.   While his work with the Giants may not boost his resume all that much, he is from the more coveted Andy Reid coaching tree.

Seems a reach for me. But good luck to him, as you say - we could do with the picks.

What on earth does he actually do?

He was once responsible for coordinating Kansas City's high-powered passing game, a system that featured the NFL's best quarterback, the top wide receiver, and arguably the best tight end. Like Adam Gase, Josh McDaniels, and others, he was initially viewed as a coaching prodigy, thriving under the tutelage of elite talent. However, as we've seen with others in similar positions, without that talent, the results can be a stark contrast to the early hype.

Ken Dorsey fired from Brown's OC job. If Kafka goes, how long before Daboll & Schoen call him to become OC?

I could care less if Kafka leaves our organization and would absolutely love to get comp picks for that.

I can't see any way he actually gets hired as a 2025 NFL head coach though. So barring some miracle this feels moot to me.

I like Kafka and his respect in NFL circles says a lot.

Not sure if he is ready or is HC material.

The failed Buffalo experiment with all three.

This is unbelievable. Our OC who got his play calling stripped from him and sits in the booth all game long not calling plays. When I think of Mike Kafka this is what my question always is.

Seems like the rest of the league thinks its a Giants issue not a Kafka issue.

The OC does a lot more than call plays.
