Should Drew Lock be brought back?

Was his game VS the Colts an anomaly, or was he improving after more reps and gametime, and gaining some chemistry with the players?

Should he be brought back to compete with someone like a Justin Fields or similar to be the bridge guy?

I am not entirely against it, I think it may be another Tyrod situation, after how he was leapfrogged for DeVito, would he even want to return?

No interest in Lock at all. He'll be 29 next season and he is what he is - which is a below average QB.

Bring in a vet on a 2-year deal, draft someone like Howard in the 4th as a project, and then see where the chips fall in the 2026 draft with a much better QB class.

Great game for him but I have no real interest. If Taylor is the top paid back-up at 6mil a year, I think we can do better and/or cheaper.

If you're relying on the back-up. The season is already lost so cut corners on price accordingly.

It depends on what the goal is for 2025.  If the goal is to be so bad that they not only get the 1st overall pick and the league feels so bad for the Giants they also give them the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th overall picks just to give them SOME hope, then yes he should not only be brought back, but also start.  If the goal is to improve the team and get them on track towards being a regular in the playoffs and possible Super Bowl contender?  Then hell effin no.

Boyle/DeVito can do that for about 3.5mil less.

very true.  But, the other $3.5MM can be used to improve roster and then maybe they only get the 1st, 2nd, and 4th overall?

I'd like to see no one in this years quarterback room, back for next season.

From Simms to Eli (with an assist from Hoss) our Super Bowl Quarterbacks. Great defense and clutch QB performances...NY Giants Championship football.

I have an old profile still floating around: andrew_nyg....I am one and the same!

To be frank, you can bring back Lock or one of the bridge QBs listed in the 2025 QBs available, and you are likely to get similar records.

I would suggest that Lock's Colt's game success was due more to Nabers and the now-fired Colts DC Gus Bradley than it is was Lock's abilities as a QB.

I'd agree with this, look no further than the 61yd TD

It's clear to me that the QB2 needed to be upgraded for far too long. It never mattered with Iron Man Manning but Jones has never had a backup who could lead this team through a stretch of games. Lock/Taylor and DeVito were the best of the bunch, but they have to do better. I have no doubt that Schoen is drafting a QB and that QB will need to have a Kurt Warner, who can ball and mentor that QB, whether it's a round one pick or a round 3 pick. It's going to cost them, but it's necessary.

Ed, I'll see your weak back-up and raise you that we've never had a QB able to compete with Jones for the starting role.

I think that as much as anything retarded Jones growth.
