Dallas had a record 13 pro bowlers on that team. The Giants had one. Who was he?

Dan the Man strikes again!  =D>

Yes, Osi was our lone pro bowler that season.

That's one of the biggest reasons why I don't place a lot of value in players being named to the Pro Bowl. It's a great accolade for the players but give me a group of lunch pail guys that play well together any day.

I don't care that a team looks better on paper or has a better roster. Can they function as a team? That's what's important to me. And that 2007 TEAM was better than those pro bowlers.

Toomer was 33 and on his final legs. He should have been named to the PB in 2002 when he was robbed. Plax was our top receiver in 2007 with the best shot at a PB. He might have been an alternate.

The Pro Bowl can often be a year behind. In other words, a player may play well but the is a lag in getting recognition.

So it should come as no surprise that 7 Pro Bowlers in 2008

Remember, Pro Bowls are based on regular season.  Giants did not look like world beaters through the first 14 games then stepped it up starting with that game in Buffalo.

The Pro Bowl is voted on for that same season, not the previous one.

It's become a popularity contest. They had more players voted to the PB who were on the team the previous season. Zak DeOssie was the only rookie.
