2022 4 sacks, 49 total tackles, 33 were solo, 16 were assist

2023 11.5 sacks, 50 total tackles, 26 were solo, 24 assist

2024 5.5 sacks, 28 total tackles, 14 were solo, 14 were assist
NFL teams would gladly pay 16 million a year for 6 sacks, look at how much 3rd edge rushers make. Kt being there makes burns and Lawrence's job easier. People forget we were on pace to lead the league in sacks and have all time sack numbers until Lawrence's injury. You don't think kt helped with that?

Never been a big fan of Thibs.   giants can do better

they'll probably both be gone. Thibs is a bust and the other guy is fragile. both disappointing

This is unrelated but since I am at Over The Cap looking at costs, the 5th year option for Neal would be $17.4 million

for those who wonder how Neal (picked later costs more)

base salary calculated from the average of the 3rd to 25th highest salaries at their position over the past five seasons.

KT even got a playing time boost in the cost of his 5th year option

I still don't see how KT is a bust? Through 3 seasons only 5 players all time have recorded 40 sacks and KT has 21... Aiden Hutchinson has like 6 more sacks than Thibs despite Thibs missing games, does anyone think that Aiden Hutchinson is a bust?

Because he isn't shown to be a game changer or big play guy. He was billed to be such. He also came with a brand. I expected a lot more. He also gets handled one on one very easily and many of the sacks he does get are coverage sacks.

Thibs is obviously not a bust, but Hutchinson only played 5 games this season and had more sacks than Thibs. Hutchinson is firmly established as an elite player and gets better every year. Thibs isn't anywhere close.

Some fans label a player as a bust if they don't live up to expectations they set themself.  Thibs was drafted #5 overall so for some the expectations are perennial all-pro.

While I hoped Thibs would be better than he is, IMO he is far from a bust.  He plays the run well and is a good complement in the pass rush.

Guys like Kadarius Toney and Deandre Baker are busts.  Non-contributors that didn't make it through their rookie deal.

Easy decision for me. Take the option and work out a long time deal.

I know he rubs people up the wrong way but outside of Burns and Dex - what other pass rushers would get on other teams, very few. If any.

Thibs is developing. Yes his sacks come in bunches but outside of the elite - that's usually the case.

He needs more time and I'd like him to be more consistent but he's a good player and I don't think you let these players walk away.

didn't Hutchinson break his leg early on this year ? I think so, missed most of season..plus I think Hutchinson gets much more attention from blocking schemes ..... double teams, chips  etc.  Thibs routinely gets handled by every tackle in the league with no help from another o player.
to me he just doesn't have the impact on the opposing offense he should have being picked as high as he was..  nobody worries about him. Once in a great while he will make a play with an extra effort.... I don't think he goes hard enough on every play ...He is a survivor ...tough to say but I doesnt have the ability to(or desire)  be a high first round pick .... I do think that he should play at LB position off the line most of the time . Not as a down d end. Why not try it more. He does have the speed to play Linebacker and would have more room to make plays.
Great college player ...so so pro...not the first guy to have that tag.

If Hutchinson played for us fans would call him injury prone, can't be trusted to play, let's draft his replacement which is exactly what some are saying about Andrew Thomas.

How can you say this ? How can anyone say this

After JPP who did we have out there as a Pass Rusher ? Literally No one... We got lucky somehow Markus Golden fell onto our lap... even then Thibs is a better player than him by a large amount

He hasn't lived up to the 5th pick... BUT he is not a bust and pass rushers are not easy to come by

We got spoiled with the Strahan/Osi/Tuck/Jpp combo mix for a good what 5-6 years ?  (I Know Strahan was gone before JPP)

So I STRONGLY dont believe Giants can simply just do better

KT was picked at 5.  His sacks need to be in meaningful moments and in volume.  That has not been the case.  His sacks are generally clean up sacks.  We need better than that.

The last 2 years, Thomas has played in less than half of the Giants games. Concerns over injuries and his durability are valid.

I would have no issues at all using a high pick on a swing tackle to spell him when injured or to step in at RT.
