Big hire. Feels like one of those ones that is either going to be a home run or a bust.

Seems like a good fit with the offensive talent on deck. He will need a good DC

Yes please, an extra 3rd in the next two drafts would be huge

I have no idea what kind of a HC he will make, but so many HC hires just because he's been a good player caller. I wonder how in depth the interview process goes to match them to the Job Description of a HC. In this case, he's got to be a nice upgrade.
"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

What would we get if the Raiders sign Brown to be their GM ?

If Kafka is hired then it looks like Daboll will be calling the plays again. " To quote Julia Roberts ," Big Mistake , Huge Mistake "  Not Kafka leaving , but Daboll calling the plays again. He is not Andy Reed or McVay. No decent OC would come to the Giants . Maybe Tierney , I think that is his name , could be promoted.

My choice , however, would be to try and hire Davis Webb away from the Broncos . He is only the QB coach there .

When a very young coordinator has "demands" yet has never been a head coach, I say a hard pass.  Joe Brady was the OC of the LSU Tigers when they won the NC with Joe Burrow.  He flamed out big time as Panthers OC.  Fired I think after one year.

I believe it would be the same thing, a 3rd in 2025 and one more 3rd in 2026.

If they both got jobs, it would be 2 in each of the next two draft. I may be mistaken but I believe that is the case

There is always the question about whether a 1st time HC can make the transition from coordinator.  I think it will be interesting to see if Ben Johnson can tailor his offense to a totally different type of QB than Goff.

Ed,

I have been listening to insiders talk about the process.  From what they describe, it varies greatly.  Some teams perform well-thought-out deep dive interviews, while other teams not so much.

I believe he will choose DEnnis Allen formerly of the Saints
