I think you make a decent effort to re-sign him. He's in and around the ball.

I would try to keep him, solid safety, been with the team awhile, has played well overall, even if we can upgrade the position at some point, he is a good player to have. One of the few FAs I would try to retain. He shouldn't command much money either.

Keep him if you can keep the $ similar but if he wants much higher guaranteed starter money I'd let him go as he is someone I think we have to improve on for the D to become at least adequate.

One interesting thing about Jason Pinnock was his terrible PFF grades this year

Since he has been with the Giants

2022- 61.8
2023- 67.8
2024- 54.5

His 54.5 breaks out to:

Run Defense- 59.5
Tackling- 48.8
Pash Rush- 92.3
Coverage- 45.5

I really LIKE the guy, and appreciate his effort, but...

He's a liability against the run. Let him go unless there's no viable upgrade in free agency.

If nothing else, it should be easy to find a replacement who has been given higher PFF grades. lol

If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

This is comical. When have the Giants ever resigned a safety? I can't think of any since Shawn Williams.

If they can afford him ... you keep

Hes an OK safety but he's elite when called on to blitz.... I don't think I ever seen a Giants safety as good as him getting into the backfield like him

Thats comparing to Rolle, Phillips, Collins etc too

uconnjack8

What kind of contract are we talking?  I am completely indifferent here.

Afford him? He's not McKinney or even Love.

2023 I'd keep him. Last year he fell off.  I'd shop around. If there's an upgrade at a reasonable price, take it. Pinnock is not a weak link, but he doesn't upgrade the team either

I'm not saying he is

I'm saying idk how much the giants value him and how much he thinks he's worth

sooners56

Don't resign. Need an upgrade. Jevon Holland comes to mind
Ain't nothing to it but to do it!

Well we know Schoen doesn't value the safety position so i guess a bunch of rookies and league minimum guys is a ok with you? What could go wrong?
