I know nothing of him regarding his coaching style.

Would you rather have him or Daboll?

I'm not down on Daboll like others, so I'd take Daboll. Supposedly Jerry and his son were divided on who to take.

People seem to forget that Daboll was NFL coach of the year not too long ago and won a playoff game on the road with a pretty bad roster.

Always could be the Jags and hiring Liam Coen who already turned down the job once, went back to the Bucs for double the salary then went back to the Jags for like 13 million a year for 5 years... Daboll not sounding too bad now to everyone lol.

I did not forget the first Commander game when he knew his kicker had a groin issue but failed to add anothere kicker on the roster for the game . He should have been fired right there for incompetance,

I did not  forget watching several games where the team was just unprepared to play.  Aftee each of those games all I heard was, " We have to play better , it is on me "

I did not forget that when Daniel Jones was the QB, Drew Lock was the back up ready to play if Jones got hurt and Tommy Devito was the emeregency QB , only being allowsed to play if both Jones and Lock got hurt. So what happens when they release Jones, who becomes the starting QB, non other than Tommy Devito, the emergency QB and not Drew Lock the back up QB. Not that Lock would have won the games that Devito started but it just shows an incompetance and an unqualifation of Brian Daboll.

Are you excited now for the 2025 Giant season with Schoen and Daboll leading the charge ?

I'll start at the bottom at work upwards, Dave. I'm quite excited to be fair. I want to see what QB they get in and what happens. Could be fun, could be the same as last year. But as we are out of the playoffs,
I'm excited to see what they can do.

I agree, passing over Lock for DeVito was baffling. I can only guess that they were assured of their jobs and tried to lose games. Otherwise why are you benching the expensive QB and replacing him with the UDFA?

I kinda agree. They looked, and remained shoddy, all year. Yet the QB was "locked-in" for a month, so I'm not sure if it's all round poor play, poor coaching or the personnel decisions weren't up to scratch. Probably a combo of all 3.

Yup, bad call on the kicker but there's 260 something games a year, was there a team that activated two place kickers? It might point to poor medical, it might point to not trusting what Gano says about being ready to go - if I remember correctly, his injury occurred when chasing the Washington returner, which was a separate ailment to what was bothering him in the run up to game.

The Cowboys have been brilliant when it comes to finding and developing talent.   Thankfully, Jerry Jones' toxic personality and heavy-handed involvement handicapped the team as they simply couldn't find or attract a quality head coach.

That's about all I know.

From Simms to Eli (with an assist from Hoss) our Super Bowl Quarterbacks. Great defense and clutch QB performances...NY Giants Championship football.

I have an old profile still floating around: andrew_nyg....I am one and the same!

Bizarre hire. Wasn't even that good of an OC.

Doug Pederson won a Super Bowl. Do you want him?

We'll see. But, by default, you would imagine they will improve if they just stay healthy and have all their weapons at their disposal.

At this point, the Giants and their fans are in the cellar of the NFC East looking up. Going into this season past, most of us felt they "could" potentially narrow the gap between themselves and their two key rivals, Dallas and Philadelphia. Well, with Philly and the "Team Formerly Known as the Redskins" scheduled to fight for a Super Bowl slot tomorrow, it is safe to say we miscalculated that Strategic Imperative and it wasn't even close to being achievable.

At least Dallas has more talent and their sweep of the Giants in 2024 more than proved that case.

A new head coach won't change that. Change must come from within the Giants' walls.

Peace!

"Dave Jennings was one of the all-time great Giants. He was a valued member of the Giants family for more than 30 years as a player and a broadcaster, and we were thrilled to include him in our Ring of Honor. We will miss him dearly." (John Mara)

Feels like, for all the regular season success Dallas has had over the last decade, they change coordinators almost as often as the Giants
