Ersery is too much of a developmental project to suit my interest.  Also he does not move quickly enough laterally.

Skinner said Josh Connerly, the OT from Oregon, was who he was most impressed with.  He's been my target as he is the best lateral mover among the OTs.  He completely neutralized Ohio State's right side pressure.

I think he ends up going in the 1st so you may need to look elsewhere for a oline prospect.

If Milroe's hands are really 8.68 inches, forget about him. He won't be able to spin an NFL ball. No starter in the NFL has hands under nine inches.

I honestly think his best spot is in a taysom hill role. Imagine a team drafts him in the 5th to be the backup qb, and play spots at wr, rb, te or just use him as a threat ala Hill.

I know everyone is going to be talking about pick 3 up until draft day but our 2nd round pick is what has been intriguing me. There is a very real chance we have these options when we come up to pick depending on how people rise and fall:

OT3 (Josh Conerly/Josh Simmons)
DT2 (Walter Nolen/TJ Sanders)
CB3 (Amos/Morrison/Revel)
DE3 (Mike Green/Princely Umanmielen)
RB2 (Omarion Hampton/Quinshon Judkins)
TE2 (Loveland/Arroyo/Helm/Fanin)
WR3 (Burden/Harris)
S3 (Watts/the kid from south Carolina)

What do you do? Take the best player regardless of need, or a decent player in a position of need?

Check out these guys, I think all are rising up the draft boards and could possibly be had with the 3rd round pick, maybe 4th round.

Charles Grant William & Mary
Cameron Williams Texas
Carson Vinson Alabama A&M

On a second note, I've watched more tape on Membou and he is a stud. Kid is only like 20 yrs old and I think he could possibly develop into the best tackle in this class.

While I had hoped Walter Nolen might make it to the Giants in round 2, I think he will get drafted in late round 1.

No way Colston Loveland makes it past Chargers in round 1.

I agree with you that Josh Connerly will now probably be a 1st round selection.  He is just too smooth a player in his movements.

I have listened to many reports from the Senior Bowl.  None of the QBs really jumped out day one.  Milrose looked like Milrose.   Dart didn't look bad.   You will hear Gabriel looked good, but they won't mention he fumbled to snaps (he isn't used to taking snaps under center)

With QBs it's how they improve during the week and the actual game. The Combine is more of a test. I read one bad review on Dart this morning. All they did was simple pitch and catch. Just remember that these players are matching up against like caliber talent.

I get more out of the Linesmen than anything else although Tez amazed.

A lot of these players are second rate or under the radar. Although getting paid and transfers have created a developing situation.

Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

Rick Spielman is a former GM.  He knows his stuff, and he talks QBs in this program (also available as a podcast.  He thought on day one Dart looked to be the best QB of the bunch.

Just remember how much we saw at Camp that never translated into the Regular Season.

In camp, Daniel Jones didn't look accurate on his long throws and looked less than comfortable.   Lock looked hit or miss and generally worse than DJ.   DeVito looked like a third-stringer.   That all played out in the season.  I appreciate that the Senior Bowl does not define a prospect, but it is a chance for some of the 2nd tier QBs to step up and shine.   That said, I am mindful that last year, Nix didn't impress in the Senior Bowl.  So, failing to shine at the SB is hardly a career death sentence.

I think there is some value, though (if you don't read too much into it).  Dart is playing in a more traditional offense at the SB.  Melrose has a chance to show he can be effective with his short to intermediate passes.   All the QBs get a chance to take snaps under center.  It's a shame Howard skipped the SB.  It would have been nice to see how he did with a level playing field rather than just having elite receivers to throw to.
