How would you feel if the first round played out like this?

Would hate it.  These guys aren't as good as last year's class, I don't even want them at 3 let alone trading next year's first, which will also be a high pick, to reach for one.  I want Hunter or Carter.

HELL NO!!!!!

We suck so badly and have such bad coaching and management, we need ALL the help we can get. More picks, more potential "thrown xxxx against the wall and see what sticks".

I'm not sure why more than a few people on this board think we are a couple players away from going back to the playoffs.

"YOU ARE WHAT YOUR RECORD SAYS YOU ARE!!!" Bill Parcells.

We are one of the, if not the absolute worst teams in football over the last god knows how many years.

I'm 54 years old. I have absolutely no belief we will ever see another Super Bowl championship in the remainder of my years.

Our franchise is like a sieve that just gets worse every year.

They gave us hope with Daboll in his first year, and that has us all thinking it's that easy to get to the playoffs again.

It isn't, and we aren't close to getting into the playoffs.

Unfortunately there is no help in sight regarding the future for the GMen.

Patriots fire their head coach after one shitty season. Us....let's keep em for another half dozen years of middling horseshit football.

Watch and see how the patriots move UP the ladder and get back to the playoffs vs us who will continue to be the laughing stock of the NFL.

I hope Mara hasn't slept a god damn wink this year! I hope Saquon runs for 500 yards in the Super Bowl and wins both MVP's and Mara has an MI because of it!

Sell the majority ownership of the team please!

Tired of this horseshit team and the horseshit excuses that are given for a results based business.

Would any of you still have a job with the results provided by this management?

As fans we watch prospects and say that guy is worth it.  I felt that way about Rivers, Manning and Big Ben.  I dont feel that way about Cam and Sanders.

I assume universally most on here want us to trade back not up correct?

Jess,

I am torn.  On the one hand, based on the nature of this draft, if the Giants could find partners to trade down with, I think that would be an excellent move.

On the other hand, the Giants desperately need a franchise QB.  Trading down comes with the risk of losing the QB they seek to acquire.

For me, I would be fine (assuming that Schoen and Daboll truly believe they are the man) with either Ward, Sanders, or Dart.  Failing that, I would be fine with McCord on day 2.

Say you trade to 6 with the Raiders (because Sanders is there at three, and they want him).  What's to stop the Jets or Saints moving up to 4 or 5 to grab Dart (presumably the guy the Giants would target at 6)?

If that happens, at what point could the Giants take McCord and be assured of getting him?

I would definitely love a trade down, this is a deep draft like 20-60+ isnt a big dropoff in talent

I would love to dip into this pool a few extra times.

I agree.  If the coaches like a qb, they will make the pick at 3. If we trade up I fear we will have a top pick again next year with possibly a better prospect in reach. That would be a disaster scenario

Yeah, a desperation trade up by Schoen would be Bryce Young part two

At this point I think Dart, Sanders, and Ward go top 10 so with not much separating the three the big difference in my opinion is level of competition, mobility, and intangibles.

At this point we are so starved of elite qb play that I would be fine taking a qb every year until we hit on one. Gotta start somewhere.

The Packers did that often, seems to have done well for them

Depending on who gets who in free agency, Dart will be late first round, or second round. His people are making a big push for him with PR, but most GMs will see through it. He is coming from a not very NFL friendly system.

That's the misconception but the system he played in has pro verbiage and concepts, Kingsbury basically ran the same offense this season.

So you think PR has NFL analysts mocking him in the top 10? There wasn't any PR for Penix last year and most thought he wasn't worthy of the top 10 and yet he went.

I would not want to give up next year's first round pick.  If we get a quarterback or perceived quarterback for the future, I want next year's first round pick to be good  player who has been pushed down due to the run on quarterbacks which is expected.

Giantleap56

To give up next years number one pick knowing that they have one of the worst if not the worst schedule next year is down right blasphemy. None of these QBs are screaming sure fire picks that will be great NFL QBs. The second round and third round QBs are equivalent to the first round QBs in this draft the reality who is doing the best hype job. Honestly I don't see any difference between Cam Ward and McCord. I don't see much if any difference between Sanders and Dart. If you look at their numbers they are all similar. It's all huge, hype and more hype. Giants shouldn't even bother taking a QB until round two. Take the best player which I think is a toss up between Carter and Hunter. I'm for defense in this draft. I have always said this I don't want this regime picking a QB because they will be fired next year and we start the carousel of needing their QB all over again.
