Havoc is an interesting metric.  They total up tackles for loss, INTs, passes defended, and forced fumbles to create a score.

I really like the Burns trade.

Very interesting metric, I as surprised Dex wasn't on it.

I like Burns, but I don't like the trade

For what they paid in salary and draft capital they could have had

Free agent edge- Jonathan Greenard  who had a 81.0 PFF grade with the Vikings (he is currently 27 years old)

They also could have had their choice to draft

DT Braden Fiske
CB Cooper DeJean
CB Kool-Aid McKinstry

I'm sure there a several, if not many teams wishing they took DeJean etc.

No guarantee the FA would sign here.

I think Burns was a fair market price and ultimately, the Giants needed better players and they got one.

Solid trade in my view.

Greenard really didn't do much of note his first 3 years in the league. Not until he played opposite Will Anderson did he have a very productive season. Hard to take a gamble on that, I mean when he was a free agent he had worse stats than Ojulari.

Jess,

The Vikings contract averages $19 million a year.  So, I have to think they saw more in him than we have gotten with Ojulari.
